Jesters vs Griffons

Everyone has there own view on bindings. Just trying to understand if the griffons are really legit for someone 170lb?? I know the jesters are built solid but if I dont need the din to go over 12 are they overkill and a waste of cash that could be used for lift tickets? Mainly stay on the ground in pow, trees, bumps and the occasional jib.

Thanks and sorry if this seems like a repeated question.

You aren't paying for only a higher din range, the jesters have more metal in them so they will last longer.

so in the grand scheme of things...if i've used the griffons for 2 seasons and havnt had em blow up yet...just pick up another set for my powder skis since they are lighter weight?

8.5 on the griffons. only complaint is the plastic seems to be chipping away. but other than that never had a pre-release issue

i use jesters on my bridge's and JJ's. I weigh 180 and ski very aggressive. no issues so far. i opted for the binding with more metal because i do not want to take any chances ending my season because a piece of plastic failed.

but thats just my view. but i have not heard much bad talk about the girffons either.
