Jesper shoulda got Podium

Abso-fucking-lutely. He is the kinda skier who has a distinctive style and really amazing flow. But i always feel he just doesnt get it together for competitions. Thats why i always hope for an amazing run from him. 77 is way too low

YES...Shoulda beat Dahl's 80.33 (not sure if thats correct) but Alex deserved the dub

Complete agree, he should've gotten third at least, from what I saw the only wrong he did was he missed that grab and I think the judges were way to harsh on him :/

He missed the grab on second jump, other wise tho it would of been such a sick run, ive always wanted to see him podium but something always goes wrong for him it seems.

I get it that he got points taken for the missed grab, but the frontflip in the rail section should've got him a score in the 80s at the very least. Now I would've easily seen him take 3rd, but I can understand the judges' dilemma of putting someone who failed a grab on the podium. But then again, if Wise can get 2nd with a hand on the ground, then fuck all that and give Jesper his medal...

jesper gets low scores in every comp... always think his run is wild and super unique- something i think judges look for. unlucky. missing a grab is pretty big nowadays since all the guys have such incredible runs

One feature does not a run make

I agree and that’s why I think he should have done better, the only reason he did bad is the 1 feature where he messed his grab up. The grab on one feature where his rotation is sick shouldn’t break a run.

Judges gotta let the right people come up.

I hope Jesper keeps getting scored low, and keeps doing even bigger crazier shit until it's obvious to all. Wouldn't want him to change, and see them win.

Minnesota gang Willie borm should’ve scored higher and I’m tired of Alex hall winning everything

First post!!

Accurate

Back in the day one sick trick could get you the dub, nowadays everyones so good and the judges need to use a algorithm that like makes it fair for everyone. idk. jesper definitely put down a legendary run, shame it couldnt be rewarded

Are we gonna ignore the fact that henrick put down the steeziest run of the day and got, in his words, a "crash score"?

Its fucking nuts how they were scoring today, switch triple 14 perfect, other skiers had little slip ups and scored well. he also bobbled off a big trick on a drop plus he finished the rail

I told him on his insta that he was the only one who had their Tall T tag showing so he got gold in my book.

Henrik was also scored really low. He should of at least made the podium. Those judges are on crack

Are you sure you watched the same X-Games as I did? Yeah it was a little low but that was not a podium run lol. Henrik is my GOAT btw, not hating or anything.

Alex Hall winning everything? Lol, what? It’s his first ever X games medal. I bet he’s won maybe two other events ever.

Just proof that people hate winners.

I agree with the style. I really wanna see what Jesper would cook up on some noodles like Vishnu’s or something. The sw frontflip was tight, but it could have been cleaner.

His run should have been at least in the 80’s, which was a podium This year

There were a few other runs that I thought were robbed a bit more. And I think some of the podium runs could have been higher. I'm not a judge though so what do I know. I had ABM winning gold though.

I think the podium runs were scored low (especially Dahl's 80.33) because judges would expect guys like Woodsy, Harlaut or Braaten to actually get a clean, potentially winning run down, and have some margin to score in the 85-95 range. But since allegedly no one managed to do so, the gap between scores wasn't filled. That's what happened in 2017 in pipe where 3rd place was a 71 because no one else managed to land their best run cleanly. But I have to say that there were some judging weirdnesses in basically every male ski events this year.

I agree. Dahl's final jump had a pretty sketchy landing... I think it was worse than Jesper's half done grab

Did not think of this one. Thanks for the perspective
