Just be warned once you get on a pair you’ll never wanna ski anything else.

I skied a friends pair last week and I lost it, they were so fucking good

Yeah they are as close to perfect as a ski comes for me. Once I got the 96s I had to get the 108s. Might order a pair of 102s next season to hold in reserve.

Im gonna end up getting a 110 layer this season or next season I think but the 96 excites me a lot for this year. Been skiing a lot of jumps and my Season Eqpt Nexus is a bit much for hard park days. Also looking forward to the chargeability with that 96. Team white so I can draw on it too!

Same for me, bought a 96 and it gave me total confidence. Had to cop a 108.

Haha there are some sick ass graphics in customs. I have a last year pair in 181 with only a few days that I was gonna try to sell to get some customs instead.

Only thing I'm concerned about is since it's custom only now I hope they still updated the core like they did for other skis this year.

As a followup, they are apparenlty going to keep updating the Jeffrey 96 the same as the other skis, just only via custom shop.

Dude I've ben dailying a 108 for the last 3 seasons. My pow ski is the 118, and I have some 102 customs on the way. I can't not Jeffrey.

I feel the same way about my Moment wildcats haha. I now daily the WC108 and have a set of Blister pros (Wildcat 116) as my powder ski. Used to ski on the PBJ's (Wildcat 101). Tried some Volkl M5's the other day and I could not get along with them, like at all, even just on groomers. I can't not Wildcat.

Idk about that last part, the M5 and the M6 are two of the best skis going and I hate metal and directional skis. They’re stupid easy to ski at the same time as being insanely stable.

Yeah I don't know, I was actually pretty excited to ski them at first, because they are the first super stable directional skis I've ever ridden. Made me feel like I didn't know what the fuck I was doing, couldn't carve them for shit on steeper slopes, only milder slopes. so I basically felt like a squarely intermediate skier on those things. Slow speeds they felt easy enough, higher speeds felt like they lock you into just a huge sweeping carve that is hard to un-lock yourself from. And that's not exactly what you want when the slope is very steep because you'd be going like 100mph with a carve like that lol. Couldn't really get them to turn tighter than that unless I was sliding, and they really don't like sliding...

They were the 184 Volkl M5's so maybe they were just too long for me, but I kind of doubt it, it also might be the fact they were kind of fucked up. One ski has a core shot right on the edge, it was repaired but the repair came undone as I was skiing them. I also kind of doubt it was that cus it's not like I felt one ski was different than the other. Maybe I just suck *shrug*

Btw Mr. Animator what’s your height weight where you prefer the 181s?

I’m probably gonna cop a pair of custom Jeff 96 and I’m considering possibly sizing up above the 181 I currently ride out east (I’m 6’ 140). Considering it for no reason other than it skis short compared to my old camber skis and I’m trying to use these for 75% all mountain 25% park.

You 100% need the 186. I’m 5’10 175 and ride the 186 and it feels perfect. They ski pretty short. I have the 108s in a 181 and kinda wish they were 186 too.

I’m 5’11 and north of 200 pounds, so I’m short and fat. 181 = perfect amount of effective edge for all mountain performance, but also 181 = perfect length for being able to get over the tips and tails for ollies butters and stuff without being too long. Sweet spot for me for sure.

Thanks for the info homies

What do you use yours for? Sounds like animator prefers shorter for the extra flexibility with tricks. Also you have like 35 pounds on me, I’m not sure if I could drive as hard as you could. My main concern is my weight on spinning them around and being able to drive em.

I'm 5'6 160 and have clapped 171 k108, the newer 176 j108, and 171 mango 100s.

The kartels feel like the exact middle ground between the two. Now theyre broken in (and broken) theyre a great rock ski still. The 176 jeffs are better for sure, but sadly I wont get to truly test them for a while. They charge harder and are more stable everywhere, from cliffs and steep bumps to rails and jumps. They definitely have a lot more swing weight, but mine are mounted like -2.5 and being more centered, you get used to it. I did 9s and 4s just fine, in fact the landings felt so much better. I love the mangos, theyre definitely a better park ski than the kartels, duh, but they feel less substantial. I wish I got them in 176.

I've never gone wrong with following NS golden rule number 2. Always get longer skis than everyone tells you to get

Going as fast humanly possible, boosting off anything I possibly can, tree skiing, a little park but not much and buttering them around. They are definitely a little harder to butter but once you get solid technique your golden.
