Jeffrey 108 vs. Reckoner 112

I want to pick up a new pair of skis before the summer sales are over and I’m stuck between these two.

I’m looking for a new everyday, all mountain freestyle ski for skiing in Colorado and occasionally Utah. I know Reckoners have some durability issues but these wouldn’t get heavy rail use, and people say the Jeffs are heavy but I wouldn’t be throwing anything huge or touring on them so weight isn’t too much of a concern. Any advice on which ski might be best would be dope

I have the Jeff 108 and honestly love them. Don’t mount them too far forward of the rec line because it is a more freestyle feel. I have the 186 and have them mounted plus two from the rec and they feel okay. I have the old 98 mounted at rec line and they ski like a dream. I have not got to ski the reckoner so can’t say much on them.

Word on the street is that k2 has revamped their durability this year but I’d probably wait and see what the reviews are after the season. Jeffreys are very affordable rn compared to their normal price so I would go with the Jeffs. I have the 100s and I do give them heavy rail use and they’re the most durable ski I’ve ever owned.

Both solid skis, rode them each but ultimately liked the Jefferey’s more.

i had Jeff 102s and reck 112s, but still felt the Jefferey’s handled powder just as well. The reason I like the Jeffery’s more is they handled crud just that much better, the reckoners definitely got tossed around a bit.

Not saying the reckoners weren’t fun, cause they are, little lighter and softer, so was a bit easier to throw around on chill sections.

I’d go ON3P but you wouldn’t be making a wrong move with the K2s

I agree, I’ve skied both and the Jeffreys are more well rounded overall. If you’re more of a freestyle oriented skier I’d go with the Reckoners because they’re much lighter and more playful, but if you’re even slightly leaning towards big mountain or half and half the jeffrey’s will thrive everywhere.

I ended up going with the Jeffs, can’t wait to ski them. I definitely want to try and demo the new Reckoner 110 this season tho
