What are the ski conditions at jay peak like in late march. My family has planned a trip there this year the 21st-24th of march and i am worried that the mountain will be lacking nice snow and that it will be the leftovers of the year and melting off. Please help, help=+k

As with any ski area anywhere, it is impossible to give you the conditions so far in advance.

That said, Vermont typically receives their highest monthly snowfall during the month of March. Snowpack is typically the deepest of the season and the trees are typically in the best of shape.

Keep in mind though that this is the east coast we are talking about and it could be anywhere between thigh deep powder to bulletproof ice, or worse yet, grass and rocks.

You sir, are in luck.

We are still finalizing, but i'm petty sure we will have an airbag set up here March 20th-25th.

Can anyone shed some light on the "side country" and glade skiing areas up at Jay? My goal this year is to get up there and ski some of the more hardened terrain during/after a snow dump. I see on their site they really talk this terrain up, even going as far as to offer glade and powder clinics.

I was there about 8 years ago during not great conditions, so I really want to shred it when it's nice. Also, what kind of an effect has the expansion had on the place? Where a good/moderately priced places to stay? Thanks for any info.
