hello there,

im heading off to jay peak soon and was wondering what kind of jibs they have set up

thanks braahs.

i was there monday, there have a small rainbow rail and a 15ft straight off the t-bar. THe park off the quad has like 3 jumps but one was closed off cause it was so small and the lip was shooting kids wayy into the flat and some guy get pretty fucked up. Don't ski park at Jay, ski trees.

hahahah, you don't often see "jay peak" and "jibs" in the same sentence. but seriously, i hope you know jay is the last place to go to get your jib on. take everyone's advice and spend your day in the woods.

THey have been blowing snow for the big park for a while. It should be up by this weekend. It can be hit or miss. They build some nice jumps sometimes and have some fun rails.

So say when im there next weekend and the tree sking is less than stellar what condtion will the park be in? Also are there any pther places with good park in the same area as jay?

Why is this always the response when people ask about jay's park. The trees cant hold snow forever its like 45 degrees today. If you go to the mountain from 9-4 thats 7 hours i would want to hit some sort of a jump or rail in that time. I just hate when kids say shit like "why would you ski park stay in the trees" end rant/ stay away from jay peak there is no snow and there is no park either

i think you can count on that being the response you get until jay hires a new park manager (assuming they have one now) and puts some serious time/effort into their terrain parks, right now they only have a terrain park because it's an industry standard and they can claim it on their trail maps. otherwise jay could care less about them, they don't use them in any advertising, and in general don't attract park skiers or snowboarders. just look at the lift line and you'll see predominantly powder skis, telemark skis, fishtail snowboards... you get the picture.

maybe with they're new expansion/hotel/indoor water park they will make some other upgrades on the mountain so that you can have fun at jay when the snow isn't great, but until then i'd rather not drive an hour and a half when i could just lap the park at bolton valley

jays park is usualy good for select times during the season. What they dont have is consistency. They also start blowing snow for the big park so late.
