Jaroslav Halak traded to the St-Louis Blues.

I know, maybe you can say that he is dispensable but we can at the very least get another good player in return. Not two clowns that have very little experience in the NHL.

there has to be something behind the scenes, I don't understand how anyone could make this trade.

If not, that is probably one of the worst trades to date. Completely awful.

well, we couldn't keep both Halak and Price, those are 2 sarting goalies and continuing to juggle them around like that would not be good at all. In my opinion, Halak's agent probably tried to pressure the habs into giving him more money since he was so key during the playoffs, so they decided to go with Price because they didnt wanna pay that much for Halak. But either way, one of them was gonna have to go for sure.

I've always liked Price since i saw him doing so well in Hamilton. Good thing i wasnt one of those hopping on the halak train. I have faith in him this season.

price has too much pressure on him. i dont think he will succeed.

and honestly i dont know how as a habs fan you can say somthing like that after halak took you to the conference finals while carey price was handing people gatorades for a majority of the playoffs.

people are freaking out about this and I was just as shocked as anyone, but something had to give.

The Habs couldn't keep Price and Halak and to be honest, I think they may have made the right decision. Halak had an unbelievable playoffs, but to have a streaky goalie all season is a pretty big gamble. I've never heard of either of the prospects they got, but they're supposed to be pretty good.

The one thing I wonder is whether Halak will be any good over the span of a full season... He was awesome in the playoffs... but he didnt carry the load for the whole year, and frankly, when he did play during the season, it wasnt like he was some magician like he showed in the playoffs.

Whatever though. The Blues are pretty bad. Wont effect me too much.

Carey Price is okay though... I definitely was looking to add him if the habs let him go... But i'd much rather have chris mason if we can get him for cheap, so he can help platoon with Griess than a Carey Price who I feel would get murdered here..

That wasnt the case at all. Many people do not know this but Halak actually wanted to leave the habs long before this trade. He complained that the team was too arrogant and didnt work well together. If anyone wanted this trade it was him.

but i like dem canadien boys on a canadien hockey team, not slovakian...no matter how good they are.

like Roy, Dryden , and manyyy more.

i guess i can respect that.

but i still rather have the better player on my team not my countryman.

and also halak probably went because honestly who wants carey price on their team?
