Aside from everything else horrible this has brought on Japan, thought this might be relevant to some of you. Did anyone else notice the raise in price of canon products very recently? Im glad I bough my 60D a couple weeks ago.

neither of them worked but i did notice that the t2i is no long selling for 699, the price is back up to 799

yeah I dont know what is going on..... if there is some trick to posting links could someone let me know? but basically a whole list of camera companies factories got damaged. Canon had to shut down production of 8 plants! so expect higher prices and maybe things being out of stock

"Nikon has confirmed light injuries to some of its employees but no serious or fatal injuries. Nikon’s Sendai factory, which manufactures the D3S, D3X, D700 and F6, has been forced to close due to damage to equipment and buildings. Work at at least three other facilities has been temporarily suspended so the company can assess damage."

pretty shitty considering i just got enough saved up for a new body. the worst part about is it is that the shift in pricing could stick for a couple weeks or a couple months. ill inevitably go out and buy one here soon and the price will drop within a week after making my purchase...
