Japan: A Skier's Journey Ep.1

Chad Sayers is super underrated IMO and didn't get his chance to shine in All.I.Can because of his damn knee injury while filming in AK... Dope looking series though. Dubai will be interesting.
 
The only disappointing part for me is that we didn't get to see more shoreline laps. That was such a picturesque line.
 
Yeah that shot blew my mind. The slow pan, 24p, with the sound of the ocean - it was like a shot from Planet Earth.

A good portion of those shots gave me chills. Awesome composition, lighting, music, editing...

Actually not super exciting. The one thing I really took away when I watched this was, that I will blow my brains out if this is what skiing has to be in 50 or so years... No way in hell could I be isolated to that tiny little place. Really pieced together quite nicely though! Iceland should be rad.
 
I also feel bad for Chad. Him and Manley have been absolute $$$ on many cover photos for a variety of magazines but as a film skier he just has had bad luck.

I was stoked to see that he was in the skier lineup for All.I.Can. but I'm pretty sure the only shot I seen of him was him chucking an ice cube into a cup with someone else.... This was the accident that really took him out of the movie. Too bad, he really shreds.

i enjoyed it, but yeah i hope this isnt what skiing is like in 50 years... also that one guy was ripping switch on those race skis hahaha
