Jake Evans 911 Call- CRAZY

Shut the fuck up, people have been doing shit like this and far worse since the beginning of man.

This was fucking crazy though, like holy fucking hell.

what you're saying is pretty rough I think, I believe we do live in dark times, this could be considered a product of a lot of flawed systems. sure, relatively it's one death, but I'm not sure I agree with you telling this person to shut the fuck up.. :/

this is really powerful, really interesting

Yeah it's weird. Like shit, keep an eye on your buddies and people, make sure everyone is in check mentally you know.

On a side note, I thought that operator handled the call extremely well.

An uncomfortably fascinating clip. So strange to see into his head like that. We've got to be better to each other, damn.

Dark times because some kid shot his mom and sister, the school/theater massacre of recent, and an economic slump. Not enough for me.

We live in the most sophisticated world that has ever been known by man. We are the most educated humans since the dawn of man. We are achieving more things in a single year than people achieved over millenia. I'd say we're living in some of the brightest and most exciting times humanity has ever experienced. You are just pumped full of negativity in the media. You believe we live in "dark" times purely because thats all the shit you see on tv. That is fucking ignorance. People get murdered. This case isn't special. The newton massacre case isn't special, the aurora shooting, virginia tech, and all thinks alike aren't special. Look back into time 50 years. People were killing and getting away with it because of lack of science. Go back 100 years now 150 years people were being killed over land disputes without reprocussion. 1860 the fuckign darkest time america has ever seen the Civil fucking War.

Aside from the economy being inthe shitter, the world is no worse than it has ever been. It's far better. To say we live in dark times because some twisted little fuck pumped a few rounds into his mom and sister is ignorance. How about the 20 year old black male who died of an over dose today? Or the latino kid and his cousin in South Central who died due to gang violence?

Why isn't that in the news? Why isn't that a sign of "dark" times?

Is it because it happens every fucking day? Is it because the color of their skin? Or maybe it's because it's not pumped onto the news like two white folk being killed by their son in their gated community.

this is a prime example of being desensitized to a tragic act like this. No one was claiming that this event was somehow worse than previous acts of violence or evil…but it is nonetheless very dark and disturbing. The way you nonchalantly are reacting and telling people to "shut the fuck up" is actually crude and messed up in my opinion

obvious internet sarcasm not so obvious

yet even to say this scares me macho man. idc if youre kidding.

this is fucked up

he calmly killed half his family, then somehow a phone operator talks to him in a relaxing way.

how did he do that

what is actually wrong with him

and mother of god.

this is awful.

and again, show some respect for innocent people who actually died. This isn't some movie where you witness a death and then react in a certain way, trying to act unfazed because you're some tough guy and not a "pussy". This is a real occurrence where someone murdered their own family members…your reaction is void of respect, any semblance of moral character to me

For real though, people died. Show some fucking respect.

I never said it wasn't tragic I'm asking you how this double murder is any different than murders that happen every day in America? What makes this murder a sign that we live in dark times?

I hate how calm he is through the whole thing, he just doesn't show any emotion and he killed his mom and his sister, I just don't understand how someone can be so calm through it.

a life is a life. I'm not saying it is any different, what I'm saying is that a kid actually murdered his own family members (which is dark, i don't think you can argue that) and the way you are reacting seems really disrespectful to the mother and sister.

And recently, there has been an outburst of cruel and hateful acts and larger scale murders that seem to happening more frequently. Shooting a classroom of innocent little children is dark. Shooting innocent people at a movie is dark.

The world is a dark place. Nobody is arguing that the present time we live in is some how "darker" or more amoral than the past. The world has always been a messed up place because of cruel acts…societal advancement, quality of life, being able to increase infrastructure and progress forward faster than ever before is a completely different category than the morality (or lack thereof) of the populous of the united states and the world.

It amazes me how calm he sounded. The way he did it by saying his mom needed his sister and she came out he shot her and she was screaming and he told her he was sorry and was going to stop the pain and then shot her. This touched me. That feeling was so surreal and can't even imagine that happening. I respect that he then called the police I respect him in that aspect and him understanding that people might want to hurt him. I don't want to hurt him. This is fucked up but I respect him for doing what he did after the killing. I was shocked. That was unbelievable. It felt as if he killed them to see what it felt like and then soon after realized they were gone forever. It seemed as if he did it for the expierience thinking they'd still be alive when he was done with killing as if he wanted to test it out to see how it felt aftarward. Wow that was... I do not know how to describe that I can't even imagine what is going through his mind.

Yes, because every murder is a 17 year old kid with no apparent motive who kills his mom and sister, and then proceeds to turn himself in to the police immediately after the murder, asking for meds to stop the nightmares.

Are you serious man? You just pop into all sorts of threads for the sake of being a douchebag, why don't you fuck off for once? America is the global pinnacle of school shootings and fucked up, weird crimes like this one. Does that even strike you as a little bit wrong? Perhaps there's something very, very wrong about the way that the globe's most powerful country (arguably) is doing things?

Those are rhetorical questions by the way, you don't need to respond. I stand by everything I said. Fuck yourself. Take your douchebaggery elsewhere, if you want to make another thread about another murder, go for it. I'm not stopping you.

You basically kinda backed up my point. This is sad, but no more sad than any other murder that happens everyday. I didn't say the kids demeanor wasn't fucked I said it was, i said it was crazy fucked. And it's quite fucked he killed his mom and sister... Twisted. Evil.

However you're thinking of this in a glass half empty view. You agree that the world has always been a dark place, and darker than what it is now. We will never live in a world with out violence, it's how it is when you have the human variable. Humans can be evil, and when they have relatively easy access to guns (USA) GUN MURDERS HAPPEN. When you live in a society where guns are illegal murders still happen. We are lucky we aren't living in some third world country, at the whim of a shitty dictator, and surviving day to day in a one bedroom hut with 8 family members and no clean water.

We live in a better world than ever. It's a more civilized world. We live in a world with opportunity. We live in a more moral world than ever there is crime and there is JUST punishment. Bingo Bango.

No kidding. Also makes me curious about his past, and where he's come from and how he got to this point. I hope this is studied up well, it might be vital in preventing stuff down the road.

this kid is the worst kind of disturbed. He had a nice life, yet killed his family for no reason, and didn't know why. Clearly some very deep mental issues. I'd rather see him studied/evaluated for a lifetime before he sets foot in a real jail.

but I don't understand the "heroic" and "respectful" label people gave him. He wanted to know what it was like to take a life. Plenty of people do, arguably everyone thinks of it at least once. You know what's not respectful and heroic? Having to actually go through with it to realize it was wrong.

i fundamentally disagree with you that we live in a "more moral world than ever". I really don't feel like arguing…i simply replied the first time because your demeanor in your first post was quite standoffish, crude, and desensitized in the midst of the violent evil murder, and i didn't think it was necessary or right.

If we live in a more moral world than ever, than practice what you preach, and don't enter a somber thread throwing "shut the fuck ups" and acting like this act was just another bump in the road and no big deal.

this is something that the mainstream media does horribly wrong. I despise how they showcase these murderers and criminals…delving into their lives, giving backstories, or merely writing them off as a mental case who didn't know better. Media should not focus on the murderer at all imo, they should remember those who were killed instead, and let the criminals be dealt with justice like they deserve.

I don't feel bad for the kid, no respect for him, and he is not heroic. He is scum. He is a murderer.

This is the house he lived in:

article-2213425-155D76E9000005DC-938_634x345.jpg

A lot of people have the idea that nice house will ensure happiness for the family. A nice house doesn't make a nice home.

Could you imagine being the dad and coming home to an empty house?

yea, I agree that the media goes too far into it. Leave that to investigators, etc. We don't need to know where he went to school, what books he reads and what games he plays.

The fact is though that no one gives a shit about the people killed because there's nothing noteworthy about them. His mother was probably doing work around the house, like she probably did most days, and his sister was just hanging around. No different than any other family. The difference is him, and why he killed them. That's why he's the center of attention.

You don't feel like arguing because you already lost by agreeing with me. You are mad that I told a kid to shut the fuck up after he said we live in such a dark world. Which it isn't. This ISN'T another bump in the road IT'S A PEBBLE ON A HIGHWAY. This isn't a big deal in the scheme of things. Sorry to be so "real" with you but it's the case.Fucked up? yes. Bump in the road? Absolutely fucking not.

Wanna know why we live in a moral world? Because, at least in the modern western civilization that I think is safe to say you live in just as well as I do, you can practice whatever religion you'd like with out being crucified. ( literally crucified, you know that guy jesus? yeah he was killed along with hundreds of thousands of other christian followers about 2000 years ago) You can say the president is a cock sucking mother fucking ni**er if you wanted and not be shot in the head for treason or imprisoned the rest of your life. We don't live in a world where our leader holds 90% of the nations wealth while the rest of the country suffers from famine. While this sort of shit is happening, to an extent, in certain areas of the Earth I find it safe to say you are either American, Canadian, Western European, Or Australian. All of these places I know you can practice whatever religion you deem fit, you can shout obscenities about your leader, and if you were a woman you could walk around with a low cut shirt, show off your huge tits, and fuck whoever you'd like.

We live in a fantastic world. I practice what I preach. I won't murder someone, but I'll exercise the fuck out of my free speech and tell a kid to shut the fuck up when he is being a melodramatic misinformed turd burglar.

I was going to reply to your last post and say how I thought you were wrong (I still do to some extent) but you just made a DAMN good point.

this is all true but god damn that call was fucked up. Hearing him talk about when he killed his sister was just wtf.

Lol at your contradictions, trying to educate me on the world like you know everything, and you just plain not getting it.

1. I did not agree with you.

2. Earlier you said i agreed with you that the world has always been dark, and now you claim it isn't. You are not practicing what you preach with your nonchalant, void of emotion response to a murder. That isn't moral.

3. pebble on a highway? lol que?

4. I think you are the misinformed one here who needs learning concerning the topic of morality. Freedom of religion and speech are COMPLETELY different that fundamental morals. Your Jesus analogy and crass obama reference literally shed no light on the topic of morality. They do however concern free speech and religion. Morals are the fiber of human beings. A someone universal code that people can relate to like a set of laws. Literally from the dictionary (so you can check it yourself, it's not made up): moral: of, pertaining to, or concerned with the principles or rules of right conduct or the distinction betweenright and wrong; ethical: moral attitudes.

Sure you have your right to free speech. But what i have been saying all along is to show some respect (morals not free speech) to refrain from crude posts regarding a horrific act of terror.

in all of our freedom we live in it presents us so many choices, and gives us so much curiosity and a way to be ourselves....the point i think wasn't that it's just a dark world we live in, but it really is, a country that has survived almost 300 years is started to fall to it's knees because of greed and corruption as well as the rest of Europe.....the point of our "a dark world we live in" is that unfortunately people like yourself are only looking after yourselves, trying to hunt for success and reach success by any means necessary. any mean necessary means other ppl get hurt, and lots of people who hurt other people happen to be damn powerful and happen to effect a lot of lives.every choice has a way to change someone elses life, you never know, yah this vid is fucked up, you can argue this happens everyday, but nobody else would care..when it's a white rich family that gets killed people care, people wonder, then people begin to pick and pry at a tragedy, some profit off of it, some have epiphanies, some change there life..in the midst of a tragedy there are good things, but realize, this is a tragedy, this sucks. it happened. it happens. it's awful..the reason this video is so compelling is because he wasn't like most shooters, he didn't kill himself, that's why this is so curious and touching, some respect it, but merely because he didn't happen to take his own life.

this sucks, a family is dead, and maybe someday down the road you'll think back on this and try to be a better person to other ppl. a person you're trying to make fun of or some shit. someone you could push over the edge, and think about more than just yourself. i am a little more. this helps me, which in turn effects at least one life. it's a snowball effect, if i change one life who cahnges another..eventually i change yours somehow.

so be happy you're alive, and treat everyone like gold, quit being a bitch and mourn for the family asshole.

didn't proofread, tons of ramblin, sorry bra

excuse the typos…"different that fundamental" should be "than"

also, "someone" in "somewhat universal code" should be deleted. Didn't mean to write that.

Yes this. I can't believe what happened with this kid, and what's been happening lately. Really scary to think about what is happening around us, and really makes me realize how fortunate I really am to be safe. Don't forget the guy who set his house on fire, called 911, and then shot the firemen who came to save him.

The problem is, my school doesn't really teach kids around me these type of things. The private school education system is pretty fucked up in it's own way. I understand the urge to keep these things private, but when any place in Connecticut is brought up, it's kind of hard to here people say "NEWTOWN" and remind us of dark shit like that. Luckily (or not so lucky, depends how you take it) I've been exposed to these type of things through the news, and my handy-dandy CNN app. Also, kids just writing "NEWTOWN

I tried reading through your wall of text and almost got a seizure. You didn't make any point regarding anything I have said in this thread. You just rambled like you said yourself. Please come back after you have read what I said and argue with me in a readable form and in a logical way rather than going over the history of the country, mentioning hurting people, having epiphanies, and how I should do good things for people. Me telling a kid on the internet to shut the fuck up doesn't make me a bad person I'm sorry to break it to you. I could hardly read your babbling nonsense but I will take a stab at this last little bit.

"quit being a bitch and mourn for the family asshole."

No.

I said this is fucked up, I said this is tragic. It is. I'm not going to "mourn" this family and here is why

Mourn: Verb;

Feel or show deep sorrow or regret for (someone or their death), typically by following conventions such as the wearing of black clothes.

Feel regret or sadness about (the loss or disappearance of something).

[/list]

I will not feel significant amount of sorrow or regret for this family.

This is sad, it is tragic, it is immensely fucked up. It doesn't affect me. It just doesn't. It doesn't hit close to home, I don't know the kid, I don't know the family. It is sad terribly terribly sad. But I'm not going to mourn for them. I will feel bad and I will be like "God damn why does stuff like this happen to innocent people? Why did that kid kill his mom and little sister? That is sad."

I will not "mourn" their deaths. I will feel bad that this happened to innocent people.
