Jackson trip advice

So I've got this trip planned to ski a few places and i have one stop that I'm having trouble with. I've been to jackson hole before except it was with my family and we stayed in Hotel Tera, really nice hotel and also pretty expensive from what I've gathered. Now while i was there i saw a hostel and it looked pretty cool when i checked it out. I told my friends who i plan on taking this trip with about it and they are skeptical to say the least.

So i guess my question is has anybody ever stayed in the hostel?

Would it be a good idea to stay there or opt for a hotel room?

advice is appreciated

well, never been to jackson, but if your going with friends a hotel can be cheaper, just say the room is for one person, usually like 50 - 80 a night, then you have 3 friends with you and its 20 a night! thats what I did in utah, it was mad cheap

i thought it might be cheeper to stay in the hostel but that's a great point. I've been trying to look into hotels or motels in jackson as far as rates and such. The one's in teton village are sick and within pissing distance of the tram and lifts.

The hostel is definately the only cheap place in JH. And it doesn't really suck. If you want one step up but not fully fancy resort/spa stuff look at The Inn.

money isn't too much of an issue. i just don't want to overspend myself since lift tickets are about $100. I wouldn't mind staying in a fancy place but the quesion is would it be cost effective. like 10-30 bucks a night per person is basicly whay i'm kind of looking into. Figuring for 4 or 5 people mind you.

I'll definitely look into that though

And if your willing to go all out Snake River Lodge or Teton Club. My family has been members of the Teton Club for about 10 years now (since it opened) and fucking love it. We visit once a year and this year we're going in january.

as some people have said,, if you don't want to drive these are the two best options...
