Hey guys, im leaving for Jackson on Monday and ill be skiing there Tuesday-Thursday. What are some of the best spots out there currently? Ill say it now before everybody else does, corbets is probably a negative. Also, ive been watching the weather and some snow may be in the forecast while im there, so if thats the case, where are some of the bet places to go shred some pow first thing in the AM?

Fine a guy in the lift that clearly knows what they are doing....awkwardly stalk them from like 50 yards back. They will show you the goodies.

Or you can stalk an older freeride ski team if you see one riding. They know some good spots.

This is how I learned my way around squaw for the most part haha

Probably not the best advice to be giving out.

You should never follow anyone, like, ever.

You wanna give me a reason I can't be 50 yards behind someone?

Not sure why but it cut it off..cell phone probs.

Because as long as he is skiing within his ability, and with caution, like every skier on the mountain should be. There should be absolutely no issues. And you shouldn't be skiing above somebody in an area that it could cause issues. Wait for them to clear.

You obviously don't just blindly mob behind somebody hoping for the best. That would be insane and not how it was supposed to come out.

i always ski within my ability(sometimes a little outside it but thats how you grow as a skiier) i only like to be yards behind someone if they are really good, cause i know where they will go and i know where i am going. its the people who are begginers that scare the daylights out of me cause you can never predict them

If you get a pow day, Id get to the tram an hour before it opens. You'll still probably be waiting a box, maybe 2 depending on the day. First run for me would be to take the bowl to the Hobacks.

If the tram is on hold, Id personally go to the Teton lift and ride the old Crags area or Saratoga bowl. Thunder and Sublette are great as well too.

You can't really fuck up that bad, honestly.

it's not hard. is corbet's open? drop it till it closes. then move on to casper bowl. you basically wanna go to the bottom of corbets, follow along the slope and keep the left and don't go downhill. you'll see people hiking up the mountain. nice chutes on that side of the mountain. obviously you gotta have a beacon, probe, shovel.

peace

Tensleep Bowl cuts right under Corbet's and tends to have a lot of powder. I was there just a couple weeks ago and the snow was great! After Tensleep theres Downhill which can be fun and right after that take Cirque Gully which is nature's halfpipe. I'd recommend starting your day by heading over to Sublette because that's where you'll find the more fun runs (more challenging than the other side of the resort).

Just got back from there yesterday.

On a pow day, hit the tram line at like ~7:45-8 to get first box (depends on storm amount). Go from the tram to Sublette, ski the shit out of that, then head to the headwall and ski some of that stuff.

If you have avy gear and experience, Granite Canyon. But do NOT go out there if you are alone or do not have avy gear. Seriously.
