I just got news that my friends older brother named Justin Kautz died in an avalanche yesterday. There isnt much news so i was just wondering if any kids out there knew more about it. any information would be dope

yeah bud. the utah crew will be thinking of all of you today...

and let those of you who read this...avy's are not something to mess around with. even professionals can be in the wrong place at the wrong time. go get certified and practice using your beacon. it seams it didn't matter in this situation, but remember... most people who are burried have less than 10-15 minutes to be dug out.

however as this situation as shown... trauma is the leading cause of death in avalanches.

On a positive note, at least he died doing what he loved. I can't think of a better way of going out than sending Fat Bastard with an avalanche in tow. My best wishes go out to his family and friends.
