J Skis durability

Hey ns I believe it's time for me to have some fresh sticks on my feet.

Was looking at j skis but then a mate told me they just fell apart really easily. Can anyone tell me if they are durable? or a definite no go. And are there any other bombproof skis I should I be looking at instead?

I just really want something that's going to last.

Your buddy must of had the old Jskis then. J did a 3/4 edge wrap and he said that he hasn't had a delam problem since. The skis have a 2mm sintered base and 2mm thick edges. They have a full height uhmw side wall and the it's made out of maple which is some pretty strong stuff. If you are really scared of screwing up your skis, get some HG skis. They come with a really nice 2 year warrenty.

J Skis and HG will have pretty similar durability due to being made in the same factory by the same people with the same materials.

just because its made in the same factory doesn't necessarily mean they use the same materials.

also I have skied on both and own skis from both brands and HG's use nice materials based on the skis feeling more solid in general.

J skis just feel like a nicer version of line park skis.

Well the guy who makes Jskis is the guy who founded line so that's to be expected

I put my skis through a ton of abuse and I've had them longer than any other pair I've owned
