J skis durability

In my experience has been HORRIBLE. I have the Allplays and have ridden them 15 times.... They're already almost unusable. I had Line Chronics before these and they held up for almost 3 years with one tiny edge crack. My skiing hasn't drastically changed since I got new skis so I'm assuming that I'm not beating these wayyyy harder than I was my Chronics. btw, Js are hand made by j lev and chronics are mass produced in some Somalian sweat shop, you would think the Js would be better, right?

Has anyone else had experience with J skis?

Do yours seem durable or are they just waiting to break like mine?

I bought them cause I heard they were so durable and when you spend $600 on a ski and get 15 days outta it, it kinda makes me wanna throw them in the trash.

Despite the problems tho, they ride like champs. I wish they would've held up longer, I would've been stoked on the company.

Ive heard a bit about this this year but the modds delted the thread because they were pissy but you might want to mention what wrong with the ski in your rant..... what ever it is if you are serious talk to J he might help you out.

I have a pair of whipits and absolutely love them, but have had 3 binding pull outs with my pivots (one originally, had them remounted and both sides ended up pulling out from slipping out on a rail on different occasions) I have them helicoiled now so hoping that they'll at least last me through the season.

Yeah man I sent him pics and an email but since it was "my fault" he wouldn't do anything. Basically what happened was I clipped my back ski getting onto a rail and the edge bent literally half way into the base of the ski causing a huge ridge in the base and obviously a fucked up edge. But apart from that the edges honestly suck they're already soooo cracked which I understand happens it just annoys me that some lines lasted 3 years with one edge crack and these have like 9 from under 20 days on snow

I have skied J Allplay twister last two seasons over 60 days at least hitting boxes, rails, logs, pallets etc, skiing over grass and mud patches in spring, skiing in thin cover woods. Never had a problem with edge cracks or any base/ core shot issues mostly just top-sheet knicks from edges hitting them during falls and stuff. front tips getting a bit worn down but no serious issues. it seems everyone posting about durability has fucked them up on a rail which will happen with any ski so...

I have knocked the edge out of a Rossi scimitar doing a tail tap on a rail so I think its just about how people hit rails not really about ski durability. If you never hit a rail I bet your edge will never crack
