J Skis All play park performance

So I was thinking of getting a new pair of J skis(the Ski The East ones) since I have heard such great reviews of them on and off the mountain. Since I ski 85% park and the Ski The East pair are the All Play edition I was wondering how they perform in the park? I know they are super durable and great skis but I was wondering how they hold up on rails and jumps. I'd like some advice from someone that has ridden the ll Plays for multiple days in a park and for more than three or four laps at least but if you haven't then that's fine too.

I wouldn't say they are extremely durable honestly. I am aware that rails to put a lot of stress on skis but just taking them through the park a couple times a day when I wasn't teaching as a ski instructor pretty quickly led to the ski warping underfoot, the edge cracking like mad, and delaming. I wan't too worried about it but eventually on one ski the edge came out and on the other It actually ended up poking through the base of the ski. This made them all but unridable and unable to get another pair I had to miss out on about a months pay. I might look other places if durability is a big factor for you.

That's what you get when you buy skis based off the topsheet

Not why I bought them... Coming off the nordica soul riders I knew I liked the shape and flex profile but I wanted to explore more skis of that type. The reviews were good and it seemed like these were the ski for me. All in all I'm not that big of a fan of the topsheet of the twisters. Kinda clash with the all black I wear...

I bought a pair of the whipits this summer (haven't ridden them yet) and after reading this can someone tell me how durable they are? I ski park 24/7 unless theres pow but that's not often at all so it's gunna be no Bueno if they have the same durability

I do feel like I have been pretty harsh here. When they were ridable they were without a doubt the best skis I have ever rode. Incredibly playful and a brilliant flex pattern. Just when they went they really went and I missed out on at least a months pay.

My all plays haven't had any problems besides a little chipping on the top sheet which is expected. I'd say i ski park about 80 percent of the time

Haha I'm just playin, would love to ride a pair of j's

My J's have held up well apart from the top sheet chipping like crazy but its nothing considering how good they are

Just of of interest if you were teaching on them did they have sharp edges or did you detune them? If you were riding sharp edges in rails that can certainly lead to more damage then if you detune.

No I detuned them before the season

I teach on my whipits and have easily put 75-100 days on em (newschoolers) and they're still killing it. Topsheets are a little beat but i mean that happens. They're one of, if not the best ski I have ever ridden. After a day of teaching I'll go hit some park and i havent had a problem with these skis.

I might get a pair of all plays for park mainly (i've been riding park on 136-98-128 for 2 seasons now) my only concern is how they perform as a park ski (since they're more of an all moutain) and they're a bit thinner that what I'm used too (I just love fat skis in the park).

@op, was the collab with ski the east confirmed?? If I end up getting all plays I definitely wanna go with those graphics, do you have a link? I can't find it anymore.

The pictures of the topsheet are up on the Ski The East Instagram and I think the facebook page also. They haven't anounced the base's but I am assuming they will look good. Also I spoke with a salesman through a live chat on the website and he confirmed the collab and said they would be coming out in the near future.

awesome!

J makes amazing skis but the durability is very questionable, ive got the whipits and the edge on one side has gone under the base
