In a way, sure, it makes sense. it's being a community that sounds cool to me. mostly because it shares your moments with other people who aren't there...I'm thinking my buddies in the town I last moved from, the people back in high school who I haven't seen in a while. plus, art is always fun to share (instagram being art is surely arguable).
But really, the community that really matters when you take the picture is the people you're with. being on your phone takes away from that, and overall, instagram takes away from that moment, even if you're sharing it with your peeps elsewhere. as a whole, I think SMARTphones are more antisocial than not. I think it's sad when people are stuck with people they don't know and automatically pull out their phone so they seem less awkward, when, in fact, they're just blatantly ignoring the other people even more.
Maybe if I watched the whole thing I might be more drawn toward their point, but sadly, I'm pretty preconceived to think otherwise.
