iTunes is pooping its pants

when i click a song to play it, it says it's playing (like the play button turns to a pause button, and the little 'progress diamond' shows up), but it doesn't play. it just stays at 0:00.

has anyone else had this problem, or does anybody know how i can fix it? it's very distressing.

thanks in advance for the forthcoming helpful advice and encouraging commentary.

....seriously though, have you upgraded to the newest verison? Try that, also, check out apple.com/support they may have the answer to your question, if not you can ask on the message board or goto the genius bar in any apple store.

is it just one song or all the songs. I once had a song that said it was 2mins long, but was really only a couple seconds, so it would play and then stop right away...

is your volume up? In itunes and the windows volume thing. If you have no sound at all uninstall and reinstall the llastest drivers for yours sound card.

 
i just upgraded to the new version and it's not showing everyone's playlists in my dorm like it's supposed to. anyone know what's wrong?

 
it says that it's sharing and looking for shared music but nothing's showing up. maybe everyone else needs the new version too.

 
check your volume in Itunes, and then check the master volume control on your computer..sometimes that gets muted automatically for some stupid reason
