just downloaded new version of iTunes now iTunes won't open on my computer? I have no idea how to fix it, and the apple website is being very useless, anyone have any use full suggestions?

are you running 64 bit? I've had a shit time getting iTunes to do anything. Especially recognize an iPod..
 
you might have to install the components that going along with iTunes which when i had a PC was always quicktime... if you don't have quicktime your itunes won't open on a PC if you have a mac then delete iTunes and reinstall it to your harddrive and try again.
 
sane with me. itunes will open but my whole computer slows down whenever i connect my ipod. it also says that my ipod is corrupted and has to be restored but i dont want to lose all my music
 
well if you got all your music from your computer then you won't lose it. if you didn't reconnect it to who ever you got it froms computer and make a playlist on their itunes with your music so you know what you had and then you can restore your ipod because its clearly in need of restoration haha
 
you might have to end the current process..

CTRL + ALT + DELETE -----> Processes ----> Find iTunes.exe -----> Click End Process... then try to restart itunes
 
same thing is happening to me. it says i need new software to run the new software (wtf) i keep restarting my comp and try running a complete software upgrade but the progress stops halfway through. fml
