This shit needs to stop. Every time instagram feeds you a dumbass clip from an influencer or generic repost account, either click “not interested” or report them. We can kill them with the algorithm. It’s time to take action

Ever since high school or so I started trying to make my insta solely focused on skiing. Only following skiers I know/consistently post good clips and no influencer types. and unfollowing non skiing people lol. Also after a long time I've finally gotten my youtube algorithm to suggest edits from stuff like child labor, arsenic, slvsh and all that. Its nice to see what you want from the algorithm

I have respect for anyone who creates and films their own content. Even if it's not what I want to see you gotta respect people who actually go out, film, and edit content. I have little respect for accounts that just repost shit cause they know it will get views and grow their own channel selfishly for their own benefit. Especially when they don't either credit the filmer and or event the content was filmed at. If the owner of the content shares it thats a different story and thats totally fine. But drawing away attention to the accounts that paid and produced the content without much consent is whack as fuck. We feed the keyboard monsters when we let this happen and its unbelievably frustrating to me. I understand there is equity in big pages reposting and thats fine but when it comes to "ski media" "cough cough.. they basically survive off of creating and doing nothing. Just sitting on instagram and reposting shit. Unfortunately it will never end.

Not all of them are the worst either tbh, yeah some of them may ski for more than just the love but some are just dudes who want to make money. Met a really cool one today who hit me up to come join an early season pvc sesh. Talked about TikTok and views and money and I’m like sure okay you seem like a chill dude.

Its tough, but just go have fun. Go fast, go ski in trees, non of it matters learn a trick hype youre friend up, appreciate doing something outside where you have a passion. all that matters all that skiing is about
