It's time to go inverted!

backflip. just pick a small jump, huck yourself backwards, better to over rotate the firstone than under rotate. eventually you will get the feel of being upside down, then just spot your landings

Backflip, 100%. Way easier to see your landing. You can practically see it 75% of the time you're in the air, if not more.

Definitely start with that.

I learned front flips first. I soon after stopped doing front flips and learned back flips.

Front flips are hard to land 'cause you can't spot your landing till it's too late to really 'save yourself' if you have over or under rotated. Whereas, in a back flip you spot your landing super early and can play with your rotation to stomp every time.

wait... I mean: triple backflip 180.

try some knuckle fronts. super easy and doesn't hurt if you fall. when you get to the knuckle of a jump just lift your dominant ski forwards like you're gonna take a step then tuck forwards while popping off the tip of you're dominant ski, stay tucked and wait for the landing to come around. also it sucks if your din is set too low cause you're gonna pop out if you put too much pressure on the tip. just give it a few tries and you'll get em

Well i know how to backflip and frontflip.. but the way i learned was from triple frontflip 180's. They really make you conformable in the air after you and it.

well its easy to learn front flips with like zero air just off of some tiny jump, probably less intimidating than anything else to do, your probably going to struggle to bring it around to your feet at first, but if you under rotate, its not really that big of a deal, youll at worst land on your back with like 2 or 3 feet of air, or maybe get some shin bang

backflips way easier in my opinion, as said already in this thread a bit harder to commit too but once your coming around you can spot your landing. Just dont try and set it by throwing your head back. Its all in your hips, not your head. You can start looking for the landing once your fully upside down, but for that first 180° of flip you ideally want to have your chin in pressed against your chest.

Ill also throw out another option, what about lincoln loops, theyre super easy and you can see where your going through out the whole trick, its pretty common for people to learn loops before fronts or backs

even flatspins or mistys are easier for some people to learn at first, and in a lot of ways are actually a safer than flips as your not fully inverted and normally will just land on your side if you under rotate. I did learn backys before anything else, but mistys were the next thing i learned, long before i could front flip.

If you can do backs easily on a trampoline should that translate to skis? This is my 2nd year doing park and I want to start throwing backs and fronts this year. Blue Mtn has an air bag so I am going to just try new tricks on that till I feel comfortable.
