...time to start looking for summer jobs. I need ideas!

any camps that serve the nation would be great, or just general ideas

help me get my cash flowing +k

If they allow USA residents to hold these jobs, which I see no reason they shouldn't, get a job at a Canadian national park that give employee's on site residence. You won't do shit but smoke cigs and chew but hell you'll save up a shit load of cash

Gotta be ahead of things if you want the best jobs. I don't mean to be cheesy or try to when my side over but I mean that

You are wrong, try calling most summer camps, or town pools right now and try to talk to someone. O you can't BECAUSE THEY ARE FUCKING CLOSED.

Ask you local school district buildings and grounds manager if you can be hired on as a temporary grounds custodian. You'll end up mowing mostly but you'll get to work on sports fields and stuff too. Plus you'll get all weekends and holidays off and probably good pay.

This is what I've been doing for the past three summers and will be doing this summer. In all honesty I love it. I start early in the morning and get off at 3 and then head to the lake for the rest of the day.

you could work the two sales at Nordstrom-- they always hire temp help for their half-yearly sales and anniversary sale.

bar-backing? lifeguarding?

The ex presidents rip off banks to finance their endless summer

you're just wrong man. Why are you yelling in CAPS? The better summer camp jobs hire way before spring or summer for sure. Ever hear of email and applying to work online??? Good luck calling anybody these days and leaving a voicemail.

have you ever applied for anything other than a lifeguard? this is honestly a little late in the game if you want a good internship somewhere

you sir, are wrong.

good thing you're getting all aggressive though. really shows your good side.

my industry (as well as most seasonal industries I know of) does almost all of their hiring in January for work that starts in April/May. Hiring for work that starts in March was done in November.

If you want a good job with a good company in pretty much any industry the earlier you start the hunt the better odds of you finding the job you want are. Starting to look for summer work in spring will get you a shitty job.

I ain't even mad, this is summer work most places don't know who will be coming back, and what/who will be needed. Although sending an E-mail over Christmas break couldn't hurt, I doubt over the next 2 weeks you're going to get hired for a job that starts Saturday, June 21, you know the first day of Summer. Your industry must be fantastic if the employees don't know when seasons start.

"Summer" aka "seasonal" work usually goes from the time snow melts to the time it starts to fall again. Not sure if you are being a smart ass or if your just dumb. Odds are you are probably trapped in the misinformation that you started and your ego is too big to admit you are wrong. Either way - even non industry summer jobs usually start in May - may long weekend to be exact... It's when the parks and beaches open for the summer in most places. Golf courses open usually before the dn ski hills close in a lot of places,

And why wouldn't a company want to get their summer crew figured out well in advance? Takes a lot of the guess work and stress out of the equation.

Now can you stop being difficult and move on? You are coming off as a fool

Different perspective, I did it and hated it. Not good enough money and I had other work/priorities so I ended up quitting before the end of summer.

Nope, you realize most of the kids on ns are in high school that are looking for summer work when school ends. The fact that he said camps makes me think that. Also you said people applying in January for jobs in May it's not January. I really don't care send out an email over Christmas break see if you get a response.

i know this is kind of weird but i work at a cemetery over the summers. i cut grass an other ground maintenance. go look at one of your local cemeteries they are always in need of grounds crew we are constantly getting new people

yeah you could apply for internment it just depends what you want to do thats more of a full time at my cemetery so i just cut grass, trim, etc.
