On the alpine forecast, the freezing level finally dropped, meaning all that precip they were predicting - Snow. They are now expecting up to 60cm over the next like 5 days.

Synopsis..An intense Pacific front will spread snow to the area tonight and Monday.

Whistler - Blackcomb.

Tonight..Periods of snow. Alpine low minus 3. Snowfall accumulation 10 to 15 cm. Freezing level 1300 metres. Mountain top winds south 20 km/h gusting 50 increasing overnight to 50 gusting to 90.

Monday..Periods of snow. Alpine temperature steady near minus 1.

Snowfall accumulation 2 to 5 cm. Freezing level 1700 metres.

Mountain top winds south 50 gusting 80 becoming southwest 40 gusting 60 in the morning.

5 Day Trend..The second Pacific front will arrive Tuesday and the third on Thursday to keep the area snowy through the week.

Tuesday.. Periods of snow. Snowfall accumulation 5 to 10 cm.

Freezing level 1500 metres.

Wednesday.. Flurries. Snowfall accumulation 2 to 5 cm. Freezing level 1300 metres.

Thursday.. Snow. Snowfall accumulation 10 to 15 cm. Freezing level 1500 metres.
