my blackberrys radio keeps shutting off. im assuming water damage has slowly caught up with me. iv heard soaking it in 90% iso works to fix water damage. has anyone tried this? im gonna be trying it tonight on my old bb (same thing happened to it, radio kept shutting off) so if no one has tried it, il let you know how it goes tomorrow

i've heard that works as well, but i've had personal success with taking out the battery and sealing it in a bag of rice for 24-48 hours, so you may want to try that first. seems inherently less risky

something tells me soaking your phone in liquid to fix liquid damage will not work.
setting it in a bag of rice will probably work, but i've never done it.

iv done that before with a cell phone i went jet skiing with. i put it in rice as soon as i got back to the cabin. but that was fresh, this is old water damage, it can take months for it to show up

well it didnt work.... it didnt fix the phone, but it didnt make it any worse. so maybe this would work on a fresh water damaged phone? rocking a new curve. anyone have any idea why my bbm wont show updates?
