Looks like preorders for the Helmet/Headphone combo might be getting the shaft. They announced they will not be meeting their delivery date without any mention of a new date only: 'We are very sorry we can’t make it for this season"

At least they are offering a refund minus 10%.

Better get your money back while you still can I guess.
 
I hope the incident with Revision doesn't do serious damage to the preorder rates of small/start up companies. Without preorder it's very hard for ski companies to start up, and without new ski companies we won't have new skis. :(

Weren't these things being advertised on this site for a while? I think there was a thread poking fun and comparing them to ruroc at one point.
 
These people either don't get any sort of degree in business or are just dumb.. get it together Unit 1 whoever you are

I think it will have an effect on fanboys preordering shitty Chinese skis from shitty companies just because it's an opportunity to have something unique and be smug as fuck about it whenever possible.

But seriously if you can't build skis yourself you shouldn't try to make a ski company. I would assume that is common sense.

Same with Revison; NS obviously partnered with Revison on a ton of stuff... and then Doug and the team was 100% silent and didn't do anything to back/help the members on this website when shit with Revison blew up. I thought that was really weak

We need to appoint a special counsil to determine if Doug, or anyone in the Bishop Administration, did in fact collude with Russians on this issue with Revision.

because its NS's responsibility help out members that got scammed off of a shitty company? Without newschoolers everybody would have been way more in the dark than we already are. We wouldnt have had the resources to put together an article getting the news out so people somewhat knew what was going on. We wouldnt have been able to see companies step up to the plate and offer discounts or almost free skis to people who got scammed. Its not Doug Bishop's responsibility to track down every ns member that bought skis and reimburse them or help them out. If Doug knew anything about this situation i can almost guarantee he would have put the word out a long time ago. The dude cares about skiing and this community way too much to sit back and watch all this unfold knowing kids were never going to get their skis.

or maybe people want to support companies that actually put out their own ski videos and produce great content?

I agree that these things are very unpleasant to the eye. This design reminds me of the POC Auric, super ugly helmet in my opinion.

take it easy. i bought revisions their first year because it got me skis with specs i want for super cheap. projecting smugness on anyone who gives a new company a go is crazy
 
lol i really dont think any anybody cares about not getting that helmet. i think its a lesson to whoever preordered it to never get a helmet that looks like that
