I want to get in to photography and also a little bit of video, is this a good deal for this camera? I want a beginner one that I can understand and learn how to use but I dont want to grow out of it right away. What do you guys think?

yea it is. It is about the perfect price for that kind of cam. You could also check the sell and trade forum but thats sketcy in a way.
