Is there something you don't like in skiing ?

when you take a snickers or sth like that with you and at the time you want to eat it, it's so frozen you could easily kill someone with it.

Prices are great out here in the maritimes but frankly it's no secret that the skiing is essentially shit (still love it though). I hate that I can't ski powpow except maybe 30cm once a year I'm VERY lucky. Also the cost to go on a pow trip is reduculous and then there might not even be any fresh. Id love for there to be some dirty old pow hill that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to go to..

i cant stand people bitching about anything having to do with skiing. after i got sick and had to get on disability, fun fun, but after i got sick my perspective changed alot. crazy how having a chronic untreatable fatal illness will change your perspective on things. im so unbelievably thankful if i can make it out of bed, or out of the hospital, and make it up to the hill for even just 1 or 2 runs . so id say the only thing i dont like in skiing are physically healthy people who complain about conditions, weather etc. if you are healthy enough to be on the hill , you have nothing to bitch about . imo. so ya , skiing kicks ass basically ha.

People with bad attitudes. For some reason there seems to be a lot of that on mountain. I wish everyone could just be chill and happy and supportive of each other, we're out skiing, you should be happy and cheerful doing something so awesome. But people are not.

The worst is on pow days, everyone competing to get first tracks. Instead of everyone being all calm and happy that we're gonna get to shred pow, people turn up the rage. Rage to get to the front of the lift line, rage to get first dibs on the good drops, rage because they own the mountain and everyone else should piss the fuck off. This season someone kicked a friend of mine with their ski, on yes a pow day, and yelled "get the fuck out of my line."

Why does everyone have to be a raging douchebag on pow days?

people that say first world problems. also people who are taking this thread seriously and getting pissed at people who are "complaining" about skiing. people that throw beer cans and other types of litter on the mtn can also suck it.

Just moved to big sky and get that vibe big time. The clientele seems to be very upper class as compared to every other place I have works has a family vibe or like with most places in the east we are absolutely pumped to get toe shots.

I feel really bad for lift ops and ticket scanners on days where the asshats are out in numbers. I always try to bring them redbulls or candy bars to make up for all the entitled douches.

I've had jobs working with the general public, but I've never seen the level of dickery in other venues that you seem to see at the mountain.

all the black people on the slopes. i mean, you guys kill it at every sport, please don't take this away from me. #racistasfuck

Your icon really tops off this post.

Also, stereotypes that say that park skiers are bad people. this goes for skating too, I hate how people who aren't a part of the sport so often think we're all vandals and stoners.

That moment in the parking lot where you realize you forgot your boots, or your coat, or brought two left gloves, or the moment you get home and realize you left your brand new gloves on the ground of the parking lot. Bah fuck I hate forgetting shit.

Having to wake up super early to get fresh tracks on a pow day. When can a skier comfortably sleep in till 10

You're the guy that I never invite on a ski trip in my life ever again.

Icy parking lots in ski boots.

One of my friends got a season ending injury from one of those. Tooth when through the lip, also they broke a few teeth, and maybe even got a small jaw fracture- I don't remember. Stay away from the ice.

Federal Agents commin' into smoke shacks and writing tickets for possession and inhabiting an illegal structure.

Skiing with kids who only talk about how good Harlaut and Wallisch are and hate on any other pro.

When my friends want to get up early for a sunny spring day but wake up at 11 while I already left.

Awkward lift rides with randoms.

Kids who have nice shit but suck,

Cold ass days, I love skiing but anything under 20 degrees is too much.

Finally kids who are awful to be around, theyre cocky when skiing and when they cant land the trick they have to go get baked in the glades to relax.

The fact that you can't do it all year, and even in winter if you don't live close you can only do it during holidays or weekends. That fucking sucks, like i wish i was into skateboarding as much as into skiing, then i could just have orgasms practising my skills in my room.

If you live on the west coast you can go to Mammoth and Venice beach in the same day. But I know what you mean. My school year is over and all I can think about is skiing since soon its gonna be 90 degrees everyday and I'll be sweating balls all summer but on the bright side ski season is only 5 1/2 months away

People who take skiing too serious. Cynical narcissist skiers who judge other skiers, the whole "gaper" thing. Negative people in general.

the fact that boots must really be made for you foot, always had problems with my crampy feet since I have abnormal shaped feet, this literally takes away my skiing ability and that's how I sometimes loose days of my one week skiing vacation a year trying to find the right boot. Snowboarders doesn't have this problem, that's why I thought of switching over to snowboarding when I was younger.
