It's interesting to look at CNN's perspective, because sometimes they seem anti-war, and yet they broadcast FAR more pro-war interviews than anti war, and did things like amplifying the boos during their rebroadcast of michael moore's oscar speech. Someone actually compared the two side by side, and there's a huge difference; in the CNN version you can hear this one guy booing loudly throughout the whole thing. There might be another explanation, but that seemed odd.

There are tons of reasons why bush should not be re-elected but i will state one obvious reason why no skier should vote for bush, its just common sense.

You know that thing, global warming, one of the main reasons for it is pollution from factories and cars, and if you know anything about politics bush doesn't give a shit about the environment, he opposes more regulation on cleaner and more efficient engines, and also opposes tighter restriction on factory run off. So unless you like getting random thaws in the middle of january like we saw in the north east its obvious that a skier would want a president that cares for the environment more.

Also, there are obviously many pot smokers on this site, Ashcroft, operation pipe dream, imprisonment of Tommy Chong, ever hear of that i don't even need to explain, or shouldn't if your a serious voter concerned with social issues. Not to mention the amount of jobs lost in this country since bush and the whole conservative crew. Why would someone vote for a president quoted as saying 'well somtimes freedom should be limited' He worked around every single issue at the state of the union adress.

This is not hard to understand for anyone else in the world. I have been all over the earth, from South America to Europe so dont question my 'worldly knowledge' or breadth. The US is isolated in their views and are alone. THe majority of the rest of the planet understands what is happening. I love our educations system hear, I love our history, and, despite all this, I love our country. But people need to look past what their news agencies and government tell them. This picture of the statue was made by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad. This artist was so grateful that the Americans liberated his country, he melted 3 of the fallen Saddam heads and made a memorial statue dedicated to the American soldiers and their fallen comrades. Kalat worked on this night and day for several months. To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms. It is currently on display outside the palace that is now home to the 4th Infantry division. It will eventually be shipped and shown at the memorial museum in Fort Hood, Texas.
