Hello,

My name is Pat,Unfortunately, recently this year while i was skiing on my alpha 2's and my binding had ripped out of one my skis causing a pretty hectic scene. Anyways i came out unscathed but my skis did not, I had many shops look at these skis And all of them said that the skis were compromised. Hearing that the skis were destroyed was terrible.

But the reason why I'm reaching out to The ns community is that i am wondering if there is anyone out there who wants to help out a college student. Money is tight and the college grind is ruff not having enough money to obtain a new pair is killing me. Being A Colorado native you can understand that skiing is my ultimate escape. My love for the sport runs deep ever since my mom put me on those little skis at the age of 3, I have been shredding up those slopes. Skiing is my ultimate nirvana, I know this is a bland term because I guaranty I'm not the only person who has reached out to the ns community. If There is anyone out there who wants to help out , that would mean the world to me.

The bolts had rusted out and broke into my ski.

Just buy new bindings and you'll definitely be able to fix them I think.

BTW you're not the only broke one here, we know how you feel lol

the struggle is real haha, but i wish it was the binding, the skis core is somewhat rotted out thats why the binding broke out. If i could fix them that would be dope, I appreciate your input.

Why don't ski binding companies make bolts that don't rust?

they absolutely do... all mounting hardware is stainless steel, as that doesn't corrode. and they are not bolts, they are screws...

i'm guessing the the place that mounted those probably lost the 4 screws for the rear griffon plate and used a generic replacement that corroded. but that is just a stab in the dark

that said, where do you store your skis? if it's outside/ in a non-climate-controlled space, that can promote rust. do you put them on a roof rack when you go to the mountain?
