Is there any way to get to Blue Mountain from Philly via public transportation?

So I just started college and realized that my school doesn't have a ski club (and way to get to the mountain) and seeing as how we are not allowed to have cars on campus, as of now, I have no way of getting to blue mountain.
Does anyone have any advice about how to get there from philly without a car?? I really cant see myself going the entire season without skiing, so I don't really care about prices. And yes I realize that I could take a cab but thats really expensive so it's kind of a last resort

Only ideas I can think of are bus trips from buckmans ski shop. www.buckmans.com. You could take a bus from Philly to King of Prussia Mall or where ever they meet up for bus trips. They don't have the the bus trips posted yet so keep your eye out. The trips go all over the place in new england and PA.
I have heard of people taking the R5 train outside the city to buses up to Quakertown.
I would email Blue and see what they know, because that is a tough one. Blue should invest in a bus that runs from Philly on Saturday and Sundays. It would be packed.

What school are you at? There was a crew of us at La Salle that went up to Blue a lot all through school. We're all working people now though...

Thanks mothership.... I 'll keep looking for that schedule and I'll try and contact blue mountain

and the school I go to is Philadelphia University

Where you from originally? We still live in the area and go up to Blue just about every weekend, Bear Creek on some weeknights, Boulder now and again, etc...

I live over in germantown maybe a half mile from philly U. keep in touch as the season rolls around. I go most every weekend...so holler.

i live right off of henry and work in plymouth meeting. i usually hit up bear at least once during the week with t*maki and a few other friends. the #27 bus would drop you off right in front of my work for easy carpooling. as far as having your car in philly... if you're down for leaving it on the street, there's always a fair amount of parking on ridge ave at the bottom of school house lane. my brother lived down there and there was really never an issue parking aside from benefit events at the tennis center and the manayunk bike race.

Yeah I'm not really sure what my plan is, but I'll definitely try and keep in touch as it gets closer to the season.
same applies to the poster above you

And also I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who offered advice and rides, it's this kind of stuff that really makes NS a great site.

theres no public transportion but i can help you out if you want. I go to temple U and if you throw me a couple bucks for gas we can head to blue whenever. I have a season pass to blue but would also be willing to hit up boudler as well....let me know if you

Thanks man that sounds good
I'm planning on mainly going up on saterdays and sundays to ski with some friends who go to lehigh
I think they are getting season passes to blue so that would work out well

what year did you graduate? lasalle is in such a nice, friendly neighborhood. and by that i mean the ice cream truck delivers drugs at 3am.

I would have graduated last year, i left and went elsewhere. Its funny, they had just finished building come little market thing the other day, someone was promptly shit directly in front of it.
