Is there a perfect allround boot? (Park, freeride and touring)

Im sick of changing to my tech boots everytime I go touring. I use full tillt decendant 8 for everything and Black Diamond mx Factor 130 for touring. I also feel like the factors are too stiff for my riding. Anyone tried dalbello lupo for park? Easy to change the flex tongue for parkriding? Or is it any other good allround boots? Atomic hawks etc. I can go with flex 110 to 120 maybe

I've got dalbello kr2 pro (I ski mainly park) and my dad uses the lupos (piste and touring mainly) and tbh I cant see much of a difference in the two on piste/all mountain but I would question how hard to push the lupos on a park day

Go see a fitter, your feet will pick. Really though the only boots you can really cross over are the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD or Dalbello Lupo, you can also with Salomon MTN Lab or even a MTN Explore but that's pushing it (also depending on your binding). Both the Solly's are more narrow than the Descendant as well). Depends on how stiff/soft you want. I'd say shoot for the Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD 100/120 or the Dalbello Lupo AX 115/120. Sounds to me like the Hawx 100 or Lupo 115 would be right up your alley, if the Hawx 100 is a bit soft and the 120 a bit stiff than throw a stiff intuition liner in the the 100 and you'll be right as rain.

To answer your question no there isn't one boot. The Atomic Hawx Ultra XTD and Dalbello Lupo are the two best options out there right now though.

Hawx Ultra XTD, Lupo, or Lange XT freetour

go to a fitter. Nobody can tell you what boot will fit your foot, and when you get the wrong fit you are going to waste money, time, and ruin your season.

In terms of brands that are tech-binding and DIN binding compatible, you're limited to the following:

1. Atomic Hawk XTD series

2. Dalbello Lupo series

3. Tecnica Cochise series

4. Lange Freetour series

5. Roxa R3 Ti series

6. Salomon QST series

7. Scarpa Freedom series

And then in the near future you're going to have the Full Tilt touring boot that has been seen in the wild recently and expected for a release I believe next year (don't quote me on that).

But as people have said, go to a bootfitter. They will help you. The brands are just so you can call ahead and see if they have them in stock.

I would say the best options are the K2 pinnacle and the Lange freetour. Both can use alpine soles and tech inserts which means they will work with all bindings.

Boots like the MNT lab, Hawx XTD and lupo do not use an alpine sole so binding selection is more limited but certainly not impossible.

Lange Freetour

Technica Cochise

K2 Pinnacle

Nordica Strider

Any of these would kick ass for just about anything in bounds or out. Between those 4 (note: theres actually 6 boots here) you should be able to find your fit...

I just got a pair of Lupo AX and you can definitely get Alpine soles for them. They're back-ordered (in the US) though.

But Jeezus, the stock tongue is stiff. I can barely budge the "120"/P tongue when I have my Pro Wrap Intuition liners in them. Coming out of a Cochise and a Freedom boots, I'm excited to ski these. It's the first Dalbello boot I've been able to find in a 24.5 that's stiff.

Lupos most definitley have the option to run din soles. Probably the only option on here where the walk mode doesnt comprimise the stiffness.

I use lupo carbons for park, resort, slack, backcountry, and multi day hut trips. It really has been the only boot ive been comfortable skiing everything on.

My friend has the new full tilt pin boot. And it is essentially the same design as lupo but heavier and wider, and shorter snow gator when tongue removed.
