Is there a freeride club in Vancouver?

I know there's Vancouver Freestyle but I don't really want to do mogulsI mean I know it sounds cocky and all but I just don't like moguls
is there like a park/big mountain/newschool club or whatever in Vancouver?if so can you give me details like price, schedule etc.?

on their website it looks like it's an ariel freestyle thing

are there any other besides that, or would that be my best option?
 
I dontknow anything about the vancouver club,, but I have lots of friends who are on freestyle teams that only compete in pipe.

I'd say contact the vancouver club tell them what you want to do, and maybe they'll be able to help you.
 
Yea I'm thinking about joining Vancouver Freestyle now
Is it any good? What's the coaching like and the schedule etc.?
 
if u do night riders. then its just lapping the park at grouse. but it may get moved too cypress. the coach ben tippers just laps with u and when u wanna learnomthing hes there too guide u as needed. alot of kids learned alot from it. its tuesday nights and from 6 oclock till close and u meet at the bottom of grouse. it goes from the start of january till end of march

how much is it? Is it like a drop in type thing or is it a serious 1000 a year thing? (I doubt it costs that much but still)
 
If you end up making it to UBC check out the Varsity Extreme Team, exactly what you're looking for but unfortunatly it's only for UBC students
 
Going to be a varsity club/team attatched to the UBC Ski and Board Club. Focusing on skiing and snowboarding, we'll have coaches for all types of riding, means to set up connections between riders, filmers,a nd photogs, and even subsidies for contest entry fees and travel.

Dropping 09/10...
 
The varasity team sounds sick but its a bit ahead for me I'm in gr. 10
I think I'm going to join Van. Freestyle, it sounds really fun, its cheaper than I thought and it'd give me something to do while all my friends are playing hockey.
thanks guys, and I'll join the UBC thing for sure if I end up going therehah I'm actually typing this in the UBC bookstore
