Is the Opteka SteadyVid SV-HD worth my time

Looks like it would be fine, gets good reviews. I would just go for it if I were you. I really dont like the flycams though, they dont feel like they are that well made honestly and they seem to be inconsistent as far as balancing goes (some people I know can get them balanced, while another person with the same setup cant get it to work right). I personally have a glidecam HD-1000 and it is insane how nice the build quality is, but I for sure understand that some people cant drop that money on something (I got it on sale and had been saving for a while)

I just got one of these. Works great from what I can tell so far, and grectbuild quality. The only thing is you NEED to get a different quick release plate. It kinda has one but it's not that quick and you have to rebalance every time you take it off, so a different one will eliminate that problem

Buying cheap stabilizers is just fine, glide cam brand isn't cheap but there is a reason why. I still use my 4000 pro I bought 5 years ago, I dunno if you'll say the same about these cheaper stabilizers.

holy fuck, thats probably just because of the holidays. i ordered one 10 days ago and got free shipping, and expedited was only $20, and it got here on monday

was it from a different company> I tried to order one last week from 48th street on amazon, and they sent me a shipping notification, then an email saying oops that product was discontinued sorry bro.
