Is the loon gold season pass really $1,000?

I plan on skiing Loon this year and can't believe the price of the New England Pass. Is there any pass that's just to Loon? I've graduated school 2 years ago and I'll have to get an Adult pass. Anyone know any discounts or anything to get this price down?

still $750 bucks... can they really not find a way to make it cheaper? Find it hard to pay that price when you can ski breck, vail, keystone, beaver creek, and a basin all for $350 no blackout days

Well that other pass doesn't exist you are alluding to, and sorry man, you're an adult now unfortunately, season passes get pricey in the top tier
 
If you ski more than like 15 days a season it is definitely worth it. Being able to ski arguably the three best mountains all in one pass is definitely a good investment. It helps if you buy it early though.

Mad expensive... I also graduated a few years back and get the BWoods/Cannon/Cranmore/Waterville pass for about the same price.

Would love to ski Loon and Sunday River but the crowds are a joke on the weekends. Packed with idiots who can't ski

I agree... I've skied cannon for the past few years and it has not disappointed. Never crowded at Cannon/Bretton Woods.

Loon bums me out because most of my friends ski Loon/Sunday River but I just can't handle being there on weekends. Buy a pass and stand in 30 minute lines constantly every weekend... Place is PACKED on any decent day. If you are a student or work a 9-5 job like me then dealing with Loon's / Sunday River's crowds on weekends is unacceptable IMO. I bet you get 1.5- 2 x more skiing in going somewhere like Cannon.

Cannon's park is secretly pretty good too. Stepped it up in the last few years. Tough to beat Loon's rails but I just can't justify getting a pass there to stand in lines all day and avoid gapers on every trail

I skied Sunday River every weekend and holiday last year and most of the mountain I did not wait in line for over 10 minutes the entire season, especially lapping park at the right times.

There's definitely exceptions where the line gets a bit packed, but generally up in Maine crowds are pretty rare. Plus, Sunday River's park is way better than Canon or Loon and its a solid mountain with lots of skiing.
