Is skiing alone dangerous

I'm going to be the only one in my family who skis when we go up to VT so I want some opinions.

as long as you ski stuff way above your ability level, and drop cliffs way too big for your own good

then you should be safe

In VT you should be fine. If you were out west and skiing out of bounds then yes that is very dangerous but in the east you will be fine.

The only time it is necessary to have a friend ski is on a powder day for me out west but there is probably not that much pow in VT so you will be fine.

I wouldnt worry about it if you're skiing at an actual resort. If you're in the backcountry thats a whole different scenario though

skiing unmarked trees alone can get pretty sketchy.
