Is ski patrolling gnarly too?

Do y'all gnarly, dusty shredders associate ski patrollers with old fucks that dont shred? I mean i am becoming one by the end of this weekend and I feel like, despite all of the old timers on the patrol, that a lot of them are gnarly ass dudes, that save people. I Shred hard. What do y'all think?

Yeah theres some legit skiers on patrol. A lot of the volunteers are better first responders than skiers, which is probly better than the other way around

at gnarly mtns ther are gnarly patrollers.

I was chatting with a patroller at Alpine Meadows sunday and asking where was blown in rright now. he told me of a certain gnarly area where he was resetting "cliff" signs earlier, and told me he got sluffed almost off a 40 footer and had to grab a tree branch right at the top to keep from going off. He made it sound like just another day in the life lol. He was late 40s early 50s.

just go watch the patrollers in kirkwood drop a cornice into icy moguls and straight line all the way down, it's insane. some patrollers are burly motherfuckers
