Is Nimbus dead?

Are they still a thing? It seems like Chris, Pep and Andy seem to have gone in different directions. Is Pollard even skiing anymore? I remember reading an interview with him (last year maybe?) and he talked about how painful it is to ski since his crazy accident in Russia.

I get that nothing lasts forever, but they've been my favourite group of skiers to watch since IDEA and I'd be sad to see the end of an era.

10 on the response.

OP I feel ya though, and I'm patiently waiting for the announcement of new content. Hope something is in the works

Almost this exact thread was made a couple weeks ago, I'll do the same thing I did there, and drop a quote from an interview I did with Pollard. The full thing should be coming out soonish.

“[Nimbus is] just a soapbox to stand on for a second, that’s what it’s always been. It’s still the same thing, just this little mellow thing on the fringe, at arm’s length with skiing. It’s about being able to jump on it real quick and tell a quick story, then disappear…”

It would be great to ski Pollard continue to film and produce new stuff even if he isn't in front of the camera much any more. I always thought it would be cool to see new talent, guys like Eliel Hindert join Nimbus to keep it going.

can't just say 'i'm not creating content for nimbus at this time'???

i hope he's doing alright though. i see his artwork at the shops/bars around hood river and i am reminded how awesome idea and the en route series were.

I don't know, I think that quote puts things in context. We as an audience, in general, create these grandiose expectations. To say something along the lines of 'i'm not creating content for nimbus at this time' would not only incite the NS conspiracy theorists, but it also misses the point of Nimbus to begin with.

Nimbus is alive and well in the hearts and minds! After the Sky Falls was a 2-year project released last year. Last winter Eric produced a ton for LINE as well as his other sponsors just not in the form of a film with Pep & Chris.

Pescado

Magnum Opus

Mordecai

Sir Francis Bacon

After The Sky Falls was absolutely incredible, easily the best movie ive seen in the recent years. Good riding and vibes all around.

Nimbus just comes and goes which is fine with me. Id rather them stay out of the limelight and create ski movie magic then churn out more cliché shit that lot of companies are producing nowadays.
