Is my toe/foot broken?

So I went fishing and was walking in the creek in flipflops when my foot kind of slipped weird. It felt like my toes twisted and hurt kind of bad. I usually never bruise and it hurts to walk on still 3 days later so I think I might have done something bad to it.

My sister, who is a nurse, thinks the end of the foot might be broken because of how wide the bruise is spread.

Any ideas? I really don't want to have to go to the doctor if I don't need to

Forgot photo, oops.

I would listen to your sister rather than NS for help. Sweaty 13 year olds aren't too good at diagnosing problems

nah dude you're fine you should probably run a few miles just to make sure though.

go get an x ray. your foot looks like shit.

Dude are you some kind of pussy? They can't do anything for a broken toe, it's just gotta heal on it's own.

yeah but if the end of my foot is broken too, I have to get a boot for it. That was my question, was whether the foot was broken too.

is your sister also a doctor with x-ray vision?

I think you get my drift. Nobody is gonna do anything other than give you an opinion, not an answer. I personally would go to a minute clinic and let them x-ray it.

I actually did the same thing 2 days ago. Hard to walk. I guess it is broken. However, I am not going to the hospital because I know it is the toe (one of the smaller ones.) I have a big blue spot all around it. Tape the toe to its "friend" the unbroken one with some padding in between. Keep it like that for 3 weeks. And voilà, exactly what they would do at the hospital. The X-Ray is just to "make sure" it is broken...

However, if you feel something else then the toe might be wrong, the X-Ray might be helpful.

Go see a doctor anyways your toe is probably broken, the bruising in the rest of your foot could just be bruising but GO TO A DOCTOR and get an x ray.

Listen to the guys who say leave it for a week. Because then if it is broken, it might heal wrong and you will have to get a full compound fracture on it to heal it right.

They don't do much for your toe. Move it around until it feels lined up pretty well then just tape it.

Unless it's bent at a super fucked up angle and you can't get it back even with pliers, then maybe go see a doc

Go to the doctor and get an xray. I don't see how this is that hard of a decision maker. Like said above, nobody here is gonna know for sure unless they have xray vision
