Hey guys, this is my binding I was trying to bend the brake in so it wouldn't be too wide for my ski and this happened. Does this look like it would be fixable?-Thanks

nope, you can just pop it back into place, it takes some effort and you have to have the angle, but you can put the arm back under the metal, I've done it a few times.

It could very well be easier to buy new brakes depending on how easy going your shop is, but it's not necessary. You just gotta wedge it back in there - I've had to do it on hill before (back my first and only time I will ever use PXs)

My real question is...why did you unmount the entire heel piece to show it...you know there's one screw that removes the brake right?

not really related, but some n00b snowboarder trailed me off a jump for some reason and ran my ski over after it popped off while landing. anyway i slide to the side pick it up and my brake was super bent, couldn't even ride the ski cause it was dragging so hard. So i ended up using the open end of a bisected ski pole as a lever to bend it back.

so use something as a lever i guess.

Ok, I don't have any PX brakes lying around right now, but you see the worn down part at the top where it came out, you need to get that under the metal part, there's kinda notch for it to fit into, it's hard to explain, you just gotta wiggle and wedge it into place - I usually use the end of the brake (the part the drags on the snow when they come off) to angle and wedge it around, and once you get it in the right spot, it just pops right in. You don't really need any other tools or levers, just pop it back in there.

There's a difference between this and bent, this is kinda like a dislocation, it can be put back in fairly easily by hand, where bending usually requires some sort of lever.
