Is Mt. Hood worth going to still?

Yo Newschoolers!!

Me and my buddy are planning a road trip to make the pilgrimage up to Hood. The earliest day that we could ski is Aguest 7th, and I was wondering if you guys thought it would still be worth it to make it up there.

Do they still have jumps and such set up at this time??? Would it be too melted out? I have pretty much wanted to go to Mt. Hood ever since I heard about it, but it would be about 19 hours of driving....

Let me know if you guys who have been there late season or are up there now think it would be worth it to pull the trigger or not.

Wait until next season OP, you'd probably have a better time with a Spring Pass...! A Spring Pass also costs less than two day of access to the FTC rope tow!

Take this time to get all your ducks in a row for next seasons trip out to Mt. Hood! :)

I mean this was the year to probably hit Mammoth in the summer instead I'd think right... but I guess if you aren't free until Aug 7 why not?

I'm annoyed I didn't just send a Chile trip and do the stuff close to Santiago last summer because they only get good coverage 1-2 years a decade. But that country still had vaccine restrictions up the ass and I never got the shots and its not Europe I speak zero Spanish I'd be navigating one of the biggest cities in South America solo trying to find the cheap shuttles and shit hauling gear.

A bit late unfortunately. Today was the last day of the park for the summer. At this point most people are gone besides some race camps and locals. Should be a good two weeks of rock jibs and chunder bashing. August is low key my favorite time of the summer but definitely not worth the drive. The 13th is their projected closing day

I think today is the last day of the ftc, not sure if there's any public park at this point.

park became public after ftc was done last summer, pipe and big jump were going til the end which was the second to last weekend in august but it was a pretty mellow setup at that point.

Editing to add it’s looking much more low tide up there this week compared to a couple weeks ago when I drove through. Last year was a better late season snow year in Oregon.
