Is it worth it?

so i'm tortured over whether or not to pick up a pair of fat ass playful skis like lizzies or bacons. i live on the ice coast and ski at mt snow, stratton, magic in pow, and all over vermont so i'll be using them there, when i go out west i'll take my prophets so these would be for the rare ec dump at magic, maybe some fucking around in the park, and just playing on them because they're fun as shit skis. i'm just worried it's not really worth the money because i'm afraid they'll be a useless ski for me, i mean we get like no powder out here, they don't rip groomers, and i don't ski that much park

my stats: 5'10, 160, still growing a little, i'm, expected to be like 6'1, i think lizzies would be a little short. i ski hard and i like to go fast, i mainly am skinning but when i go to stratton or something i ski groomers and park. when i go out west i'm doing lines in the bc usually, at squaw and shit i'm dropping cliffs but i don't know if i'd use this ski as much for that. i'd like to start doing a little more park because ec groomers just don't really do it for me and with mount snow's mega park expansion it should be legit. so the current quiver is bluehouse mr 179, line prophet 100 179, and a bunch of race shit. i'm thinking i'd want a fatter pow ski but usually when i go out west i take my skinning gear and ski my prophets

sparknotes: tell me if you think it'd be a good idea to get a ski like the lizzie, bacon, ep pro, hellbent, etc, and help me pick one of those or a fat fun playful ski that's like them, or give other suggestions, like if i should get a fat charger ski (i had 130's for a while but those were too much). but something that i have a lot of options with just to fill the fat ski gap in my quiver

prophet 100's are a fine ski for resort powder and backcountry on the east coast. the elizabeths are actually originally designed for park but also do quite well on the all mountain to. I have seen a few kids ripping them at mad river glen but that was on a big pow day ( like 2 feet) th hellbent/ep pro are way to big for anything east coast except for that one storm in vt where we got 4 feet.

lizzeies would be to short for you i think. the bacons would be fun and would give you the added stability when you do go out west. also next years JJs would be good and they are rockered with 115 underfoot(same as bacons). but it is really up to you if you want something wide. but imo if you are going wide then just go all the way and get some EPs/hellbents/donor parties. Also Bibby pros would be good(115 under foot)

i'm liking the looks of the bibby, i've given up on getting rubies, and i think ep pros and hellbents are too big, i'd probably go bacon, ruby if i get money, bibby, or donner party if i go insane

Personally, and to give you the opposite arguement, I would say don't buy them. If you have 3 more inches to grow, you can't be that old, and I don't know how secure your financial status is...I'm basically your size (5'11, 175) and have Rossi Scratch BCs (the yellow ones) that are 98 underfoot, and they do fine in the deep stuff at Snowbird. Your Prophets are stiff enough to charge hard, so if I was you I would save the money for other stuff (camera, car, etc) because being on the EC, you're not really in a position to need a ski like that. How much time do you spend out west? If its like a week, then maybe. A month? Definitely. A few days? Nope...

Just my two sense

yeah i've decided against this, i might get some moment tahoes and ditch the bluehouses if i can but i don't think i need a fat as hell ski, i skied tahoe crud and pow on prophet 90's so i don't need something super fat, if i was gonna get something fat i'd get bacons but i think i won't
and i have hardly any money so i should save up the funds, i would only spend it on some tahoes

I say go for it! I skied on Brigades last year on a 400 foot POS hill and had a super fun time. I'm getting Lizzies this year and because they are so flexy they are going to be even more fun! The fatter the better!
