Is it worth it to buy a FT buckle?

Bottom buckle broke off, and I skiied the rest of the season without it. Didn't bother me much but I could def tell the difference and I wouldn't mind having it a bit more snug. So have any of you purchased and replaced your buckles? Did you buy off of FT's website? Did everything go smoothly and would you recommend? I just want to know if it's worth it. Kind of expensive. Thanks much cheers and be may schralping be ever in your favor.

i replaced the bottom buckle when it broke but i used one boot with out a middle buckle for most of the time i owned it, you don't have to but if you come across and extra 25$ why not but if your strapped for cash don't worry about it

Bottom buckle is fairly unnecessary . The middle buckle holds your heel down and the top keeps your calf in place, but the bottom doesn't do a whole lot. I always set mine to where they barely keep themselves tight. I wouldn't say its worth the 30 bucks.

i broke the bottom buckle off of my boot sometime in january and have been skiing on it since without it. doesn't seem to make much of a difference. the crack i put in the shell of the left boot... well we'll see if that makes a difference next year or not

broke my lower right first day of the season, went 91 more days without getting a new one. it was always kind of annoying but not enough to justify buying one even though its only $30.

Directly caused from bottom buckle?

I took my bottom buckles off my full tilts the season before, since they didn't do much.

Wasn't until this year that my shell cracked.

Although I've skied the boots hard for four seasons, so hey might not be related.

But the shell crack with be the end of the boots, unless you use duct tape to hold it all together. Which I did, and it works.

The shell cracked on the opposite boot. Its only like an inch long and is where the top of your toes are. Idk how it will hold up yet

Be very carfull with any crack around the toe or heel. These areas are where a lot of load goes through the boot so a crack here coul be pretty bad. If I were you I woul take it to a good boot fitter an have them take a look to see if they may be safe to still use.

Same happened to me. Bought a new one, put it in, and skied the rest of the season.

When i bought it i thought i would get only one buckle, but i ended up getting four or something..
