Is it worth going to Lake Louise on Friday?

So they are only opening 3 runs on friday, all are green runs off the learning slope... Apparently it's going to be $38 aswell.

Has anyone ever been on opening day when it's been this restricted(1 chair/3 Runs)

I really want to ski but i think it will just be packed and shit -_-

What do?

Where did you hear 3 runs from? Last year it was only Wiwaxy open on opening weekend, with three jibs that were actually really fun on the side, they had a flat box, three picnik tables and a down rail? I think. I've never actually been on opening day, usually I go on the Sunday of that weekend and it's usually not to bad.

I heard it from their email, ski hub in banff and their website, it's just the glacier chair opening with wiwaxi and 2 others running off it that has enough snow. I'll head up there tomorrow anyway and may/may not ski depending on how busy it is. I'll keep you posted ~_~

I'm probably going because I don't work and have nothing else to do in banff. Not sure if i wanna spring the $15 to take the bus though

There never really is anything opening week.

I won't be skiing at the Lake until World Cup rolls in.

FREE SKIING THEN

alright I have confirmation that it is one run made up of three runs that link together its gonna be bald eagle to wiwaxy to easy street, im assuming everyone already knew that but now is confirmed on the low down

Can confirm.

It was pretty good today, I did a half day and didn't have to queue for the lift at all, and only had to wait like 3-5 mins max for the "Terrain Park".

The run is pretty shit, but you can easily walk the park and there is a few jumps off to the side in the trees.

Ski patrol wern't that bad, i only got warned once for skiing switch ~_~.

Good day overall and it was only $30

Anyone down for tomorrow? All I ask is a bit of gas money, preferably picking you up from the NW of Calg somewhere or I could pick someone up in Banff. I need a ski buddy!

If they get the snow dump tonight, do you think they will open more lifts/runs?

Either way i'll probably still go tomorrow.

Doubt it, they probably won't get enough traffic running through the hill till World Cup starts up. By then, most of the mountain is open.

Anyone know what there opening next? You can see on there webcams that they're doing Juniper and Ladies downhill, but I don't think the usually open that til after the world cup

I'll most likely be up there tomorrow shreddin. Come say hi I'll be rockin last years alpha 2's and some sort of clothing on my body.
