Is It Worth Goin To Camp If Its Only For 1 Week

Ok we got a dilemma, from what i hear its only worth going for 2 weeks. Because my brother also wants to go, we can only go for 1 week a piece. I know one week has gotta be better than nothing, but can i please get an opinion... Maybe i could do something better with that time. Peace

it hurts to say this, but maybe you could save the $ and pick up another sport. use the summer to do summer things. go rock climbing, hikeing, mountain bikeing ect... but if you really want to go then its like you said, 1 week is better than none.

camp is a HUGE waste of money, its cheaper to go out on your own and ride the glacier, sure you dont get to ride with people that are better then you, but anyone can help you with a trick, even if they dont know how to do it themselves.......

Camp is great so long as you use all the resources available such as water ramps. It's so great, i dunno, there's just something about the sunny weather and soft snow and stuff. the best terrain is usually at the camps. if you can't get to camp, get to the glacier and ski.

Life sucks, get a fucking helmet

do they have a terrain park set up on the glacier, not part of the camps.

i cant describe the vibe i get when i drive by 6 people and 5 i hit

if i had the oppurtunity to go to a camp i would go

but if you dont go try bouldering or mountain biking best two sports beside skiing

It depends who you ask, in my opinion camp is sweet, hangin out with cool people, hitting up a good park in occaisionally sweet occaisionally bad weather. The water ramps will help you learn inverts and other difficult tricks, and you get to hang out in a really sweet town.

Here's a straight up honest answer....

It's worth it if you have the money and everything goes right.. but there is so much to go wrong that for that mcuh money it isn't worth it.

Bottom line.... if you are rich, go have fun, but if you arent it is not worth working for that much time on snow.

camp is the way to go, i learned so much shit at high north it was sweet, best money i ever spent, seriously its so much fun and if ur looking into the pub. park at whistler its not that nice, they had a medium spine and some smaller tables, and a bunch of boxes, but not worth going there for

like people have said, if you can swing it, go. If nothing else I guarantee you'll have a damn good time. As far as progression goes my advice if you're only going for a week is to pick the few things you really want to work on the most and focus on them, it can be easy to spend the whole week running around doing a little of this here and a little of that there and not substantially improve in any one particular area.

It all depends. If you are gonna spend $1500 just to use the park this summer, NOT worth it. But, if you are gonna work hard and put a lot of effort and use the resources and coaches, DEFINATELY worth it. Plus, some camps like Camp of Champions are a lot more than just skiing

nice onepiece

go to camp, kill your bro and take his money, win win

It might feel good, it might sound little somthin, but damn the game if it dont mean nuthin

camp is alot of fun, one of the best weeks of my life at windells, but it is alot of money to spend, but if you break it down, lodging, food, coaching, lift tickets, its pretty reasonable, however you can do it cheaper on your own, but then you run into the dilemma of 'parents' if youve got the extra 1500 layin around then hell yah, but i dont know, if your serious about gettin your ski groove on then its worth it- you might check out www.empirefreeride.com, its a little cheaper than most camps and its a rad camp to go to

I think it's something you need to experience at least once. If your unsure, just go for one week. You can always save up and go back next year for two.

are there any water ramps around (anywhere US/ CAN) that are open to the public? if so you could hit those up and im sure they would be tons cheaper. i want to know if there are any, so if you know let us know.

ok, i just did some research on water ramps online. i only found stuff out about the one in salt lake cuz im closer to there than i am to whistler. there are some camps that you can sign up for through the utah olympic park where you are able to use the water ramps. the only one that looks very good was the 'fly with us' program (or something like that) the program is a 6 day camp. 5 days on the ramps, one day rest. if i remember correctly the price was $700 USD. each day you have 2 sessions on the ramps (a session is a couple hours i think, i dont really know) they have like 7 jumps, some small more like a park would have and some big for things like aerials. you should check it out. i dont know the web adress, but i searched on yahoo for 'water ramp' and found it there. of coarse this wouldnt be as good as something like coc or sms but its a cheaper similar solution.

ok, i said some wrong things above, its called the 'super fly camp' and it is only $300 USD. much better than $700. sorry about that

Yea dude camps are so expensive. I agree Rs4life. But I dunno, i think if you got the oppurtunity to go you might as well, because I'll like never get that kinda chance, and neither will a lot of other ppl so dude, i think you should go.

Piss on tits, piss on piss, and piss on this. PEACE OUT

How much is it to stay in whistler in the summer, like housing, food, beer, pass, etc.

Smoke 2 Joints

when i was in the whistler public park this summer there were no tables, just 2 hips some boxes and rails

and i did 1 week of camp and i thought it was worth it, i had a great time and i learned some stuff, even if you don't learn new tricks, you still pick up a lot just from watching and listening to the coaches and other campers

If you ever catch on fire, don't look in the mirror, cause I bet that would really throw you into a panic!
