Is it weird wearing Burton outerwear?

Burton makes very nice gloves and mittens. Wear something because it's good quality and affordable, not because of the brand name. If you like their outerwear, wear it.

I believe as long as what you're wearing isn't plastered with burton logos, then it is fine. I don't like burton, but not because it is a snowboarding brand, but because they try to control all of the snowboard industry, they're kind of like the vail resorts of snowboarding.

Burton makes good gloves (i used them this season) and other small stuff. On pants it goes just and just. But a burton hoodie or jacket on a skier on hill just doesn't work for me. They make good quality clothes and i don't hate anyone about that, it just doesn't look right. But just my opinion.

i remember back when kids on here were creaming themselves over the ak green goblin suit so id say no.

If I didn't have Flylow gear, I would get all Burton AK outerwear.

Burton AK line is the only thing worth buying from them though, as far as outerwear goes.

i have an ak jacket, bought it like 5 years ago for 70 bucks, its gettin replaced next year but its been a good coat

Regardless of Burton being a snowboarding company, there are so many other, smaller outerwear companies out there to buy from. I just can't see buying shit from them when there are so many better options to support companies that help out skiing through sponsorships or other contributions.

I have all ways gotten snowpants from my older brothers so I have had burton snowpants for forever and have never gotten to much hate from it. I really dont care though

It doesnt bother me but at the same time i feel that skiers should support ski companies. If your spending money on gear, why give it to a large snowboarding company like Burton or 686. There is a ton of good shit on the market made companies that support and push skiing.

Right on, I completely agree. There's just no reason to support a large corporation like Burton when there are so many other ski companies to buy from.

Every Burton coat I've ever tried has been wicked comfortable and heavy, you can also give some pretty long zipper lengths out of them. I understand buying from other small companies, but it really comes down to what YOU like.

The whole "support smaller companies" is so stupid. Buy the best gear on the market for your price range, not because it's a small brand, that's stupid. If saga made a better jacket than say a big company like Volkl and they were the same price, it would be only smart to go with the better jacket not because you want to be "core". Pretty much all brands are owned by higher non endemic companies so your "money" which you want to go into "the sport" will most likely go to pay for the CEO's wife boob job.

why support a company that until the past year or so has said how much they hate skiers? quality or not, they shouldn't be represented.

I really have nothing against snowboarding, but why the hell would you do that. It's not weird, it's just stupid. Why would you support Burton instead of other companies that have a much more positive attitude and are stakeholders in the SKI industry?
