Is it too late?

I have not started my setup yet because I just finished designing it on SketchUp (which I hate). I was in Vermont for a week, home for 3 days, and now I'm leaving again for Boston for 4 days. So I haven't been able to get started on actual construction. I estimate with help from my MacGuyver meets Contractor friend who is amazing at building shit, and my plans, it will take us roughly 3 to 4 days to build this motherfucker. I will get back on August 26th, late, so we can go buy the wood and stuff and really start on the 27th. So I ask you, Build-A-Jib cult...

Is it still worth it for me to build? Or is it too late and should I just wait until next year?

I really want to have rails down BEFORE I start skiing this winter, and the only way to do that is on this setup, but I'll only get like 3 weeks' use out of it because come Autumn, it's fucking frigid here on Long Island. Like out of nowhere, wham-bam-40 degrees. So is it worth it to build it and use it for 3 weeks, then cover it up for the winter or whatever (I'll probably be using pressure-treated lumber if I can find it so it won't rot), or should I just wait because it will get destroyed?

build it for sure, fall riding is the best anyways cause you dont gat all hot and sweaty, and if you ride everyday 3 weeks is a long time. and just leave up the setup, if its cold throw on a jacket or sweatshirt, and then once it snows you can start skiing right away, and snow wont damage it, mines been up for like 3 years and is still fine

yeah just do it. and i also think it wont take 4 days to build. after having built 2 rails and 2 boxes i would say your plans are really just an outline, when it comes time for making it theres to need to be perfectionistic, just put it together and it cant take more than a few hours.

Well just build it then you have all summer next year if you don't get the amount of time you want off of it. But its defiantly not too late man get to building!!!!
