Is it possible to re-dye part of a black Smith I/O goggle?

I was just thinking because the pair I'm getting is all black, I would like having accented the small plastic parts on each side of the lens, like many of the other stock pairs have.

Is it possible to bleach it and then dye it some other color? Or maybe just over-dye so hard that the black will get some sort of hue?

Actually the parts seem to be gray, that might make it possible to just overdye them. But the question now is, is it possible to pull them out and what is the European equivalent of rit?

You're not going to be able to overdye them really. You might be able to get them to turn a tint of dark purple, navy blue, or maroon, but it will really just look grey for the most part. You can probably find RIT online somewhere to have it shipped over to you.

You can dye the grey parts a darker color, but bleaching it probably won't work. if you're gonna dye the grey parts black try to give them a lot of time and dye it twice so that it doesn't fade into a purple/navy kind of color.

What about just spray painting them a color? If i threw on multiple coats of plastic paint, do you then think it would stick?
