I mean, I like the way FT has taken the asthetics of Wallisch's pro boot beyond a "traditional ski boot" in the past (thinking about the red/white ones from 2 seasons ago), and they obviously tried to do that again here:

So if you don't like that look, then it's just you. It goes along with the whole mentality of wearing baggy clothes skiing though: the sloppier your outerwear is, the smoother your movements are supposed to seem. Not sure if that applies to boots though...
