Is it gaper to wear a womens helmet if your a guy

Asking for a friend, he bought a Smith Mirage from a ski shop and found out later its a womens helmet. He is really embarrassed and asked if I could make a thread on here to find out. So does it matter? He likes the helmet it fits him well but he doesnt want to get labelled or anything.
