You have more nose less tail? or more tail less nose?
Is it easier to ski steep shit when...

Well I was just thinking about it skiing my Kartel 106s at -2 from true center... I feel like a more center mounted ski is easier to maneuver through glades because there is less of a nose but harder to get the tail around.. But then something with more nose is harder to get the nose around.

I have no preference I'm just thinking..
If you are skiing hard terrain, including steeps generally most skis work better mounted back- as in close to -3 or -4 for the kartels (where they are designed to be mounted for all mountain). Ski fine at -2 and more centered too. It's all a matter of skiing ability, style, and prefrence.

yeah like you touched on, it's a happy balance youre looking for
if you have too much nose and can't handle it, it might be tough to drive your ski and manhandle it in tight situations, but if you have not enough nose you'll wish for more sometimes (e.g. deep pow)
but don't over-think it man, all these things are really not that huge a deal

A closer to center mount is not conducive to steep skiing. Look at the mount point on all big mountain charger/freeride skis and steep skiing skis.
That being said the mount point on these skis is complementary to the skis shape. On your Kartels there's only so far back you can mount them before they start getting a bit funky because you're working against the shape not with it. It also worth considering that's the Kartel's profile isn't exactly ideal for steep skiing. If you put the side by side with a charger or a steep skiing ski, you'll notice the difference in the profiles of the two skis.
